I like many of you are just getting to view the new trailer for Godzilla vs Kong and I can say is Wow! The film looks like a major battle to the death between to of the greatest monsters in movie history.
Or is it? (more on that in second)
I think this clip speaks for itself:
That clip was provided to me by Warner Bros so I want to give them a special shout out.
Now more about what we see here. (POTENTIAL SPOILER ALERT!!!!) In the trailer we see Godzilla on a rampage destroying everything in his path and apparently Kong has been kidnapped from his island home to stop him. We hear in the clip that everyone is confused as to why The King of monsters is doing this?
I have a theory on this. It's not Godzilla that Kong is fighting.
Over the past few years it has been leaked the Mechagodzilla will be in this film. If that is indeed true, then it is likely that the Godzilla we see acting a runaway locomotive could actually be his robot double.
If this is true than the it would also be likely that sometime in the film, the real G would show up and he and Kong would take out the cyborg.
This plot twist would certainly help out the film makers by giving them an out when having to decide which monster would come out the victor in the end.
Of course it's just a theory.
