Blue Fireball Streaks Across The Sky Above Three Southern States

From CBS News A loud boom prefaced a streaking fireball spotted in three Southern states, scientists confirmed Thursday. More than 30 people in Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi reported seeing the exceptionally bright meteor in the sky around 8 a.m. Wednesday after hearing loud booms in Claiborne County, Mississippi, and surrounding areas, NASA reported . It was first spotted 54 miles above the Mississippi River, near Alcorn, Mississippi, officials said. "This is one of the nicer events I have seen in the GLM (Geostationary Lightning Mappers) data," said Bill Cooke, lead of NASA's Meteoroid Environments Office at Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama. The Mississippi Emergency Management Agency posted a satellite image on Facebook along with NASA's confirmation. The agency said that the fireball caused no injuries or property damage and that it ran parallel to the Mississippi River. READ MORE Check Out: m Are You Ready For The Horror Of Octopuses ...

Was A Baby Yeti Captured in Azerbaijan?

Okay the video I'm about to share with you is down right weird. If the video footage sent to the Cryptomundo website by Russian cryptozoologist Igor Burtsev is indeed genuine then a group of men may have captured a baby Almasty (Almas), the Soviet version of the Yeti or Abominable Snowman in the mountains of Azerbaijan. The creature in the footage is indeed alive, covered in really thick fur, has an ape-like face, large hands with dark fingernails and walks around on two legs. Check this out: Okay, I honestly don't know what that thing is. For a quick history lesson, the Almasty or Almas is essentially the Russian version of Bigfoot. The only difference is that generally the Almasty is usually described as a primitive human being. There is a famous story in Russia about a female Almasty that wandered into a town and was captured. The creature actually mated with one of the locals (no, really) and mothered several children. If that story is indeed true than the creature in quest...

Portraits of Wildlife - The San Diego Zoo

All Photos by Ken Hulsey Way back in 2013 our family took the ninety minute drive down to the beautiful seaside metropolis of San Diego to spend the day soaking in the sun and enjoying many of it's many attractions. What we ended up doing is spending the whole day at the world famous San Diego Zoo. Though we didn't get a chance to visit as many sites as we initially planned, the day at the zoo was a day well spent indeed.  From the San Diego Zoo: An urban paradise for all ages, the San Diego Zoo is a must-see in Southern California. Winding paths through the tropical oasis of a botanical garden bring you to more than 4,000 rare and fascinating animals, including koalas, Galápagos tortoises, leopards, roaming peacocks, and more. Explore Africa Rocks to discover penguins, baboons, the mysterious fossa, weaver birds, and others unique creatures. The festive, lively atmosphere makes the San Diego Zoo a great place for family fun and gathering friends. Discover the wonders of wild...

Benny Hill - The British King of Comedy

In the early 80s I watched The Benny Hill Show every Sunday night on PBS along with Doctor Who, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Monty Python's Flying Circus and The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin.   Here is the skinny: The Benny Hill Show is a British comedy television show starring Benny Hill that aired on the BBC and ITV (from 1969) between 15 January 1955 and 1 May 1989. The show consisted mainly of sketches that were full of slapstick , mime , parody and double entendre (which could be described as a filmatographic version of British saucy seaside postcard humour). At its peak The Benny Hill Show was among the most-watched programmes in the UK with the audience reaching more than 21 million viewers in 1971. In 1972, Hill received a BAFTA Television Award for Best Writer , and he was nominated for the BAFTA for Best Entertainment Performance . In the late 1970s, the Thames Television version of the show gained a following in the United States...
