My wife recently turned me on to a YouTube channel run by a Frenchman who calls himself NASS who's hobby is restoring old film footage shot around the world. NASS takes great care in rescuing old travel footage and turning them into HD time capsules. NASS improves the sharpness and brightness, adds color and sound, and does a bunch of other stuff only a video geek would understand.
The results are very impressive. In the video I decided to feature an unknown videographer mounted a camera on the back of a truck (I presume) and drove through downtown Los Angeles sometime during the 1960s. Thanks to NASS viewing the footage is like traveling back in time to the very same day it was shot.
I actually felt like I was truly there.
Check out this amazing footage:
I will be posting more restored footage from NASS in the future.
