Los Angeles Rams Fans I Think It's Time For A Uniform Change

I know that during a rather taxing season like this most fans are starting to grumble about the state of the Rams franchise as it is going through a rebuild. As the losses start to mount there are certain to be talk about a quarterback change, couching changes and even management changes. All of those are valid discussions at a time like this, but what I want to talk about today is something a little more cosmetic in nature.

A change in uniforms, mainly a change back to the classic look the team wore back in the 70s, 80s and 90s. The uniforms that most of us grew up with.

At this time the Rams organization probably realizes that their 2020 rebrand has been a dismal failure. Back when the new logos and uniforms were introduced almost all fans and former players, namely Hall of Fame running back Eric Dickerson, were very vocal about their strong dislike of the designs. Here we are four seasons later and unfortunately a love for the new designs has never materialized. At this point most fans simply tolerate the look because it happens to be what the team wears every Sunday.

I find myself wearing my blue and white gear from before 2020 almost exclusively now, though I did wear shirts and hats with the new logo right after the team wore the Super Bowl. Now that the buzz has worn off from that great victory I find myself passing that gear for something retro. I also find myself browsing NFL Shop for any Rams gear with retro designs and colors shunning everything with the teams present designs.

Am I alone in doing this?

I think that if you search down deep you will find that you want the team to return to its LA roots as much as I do. Those old uniforms are iconic and truly represent the essence of who the Los Angeles Rams really are. They are unique, different from anything else in the league. Fans of other teams even loved them.

I often get asked by other football fans why the team changed the uniform because they thought it was cool.

Now, I understand that the NFL has rules about uniform changes so hitting the brakes and tapping the reset button isn't as easy as it probably should be. As I understand it, the real problem comes more with changing colors than actual design. This got me thinking.

I wonder what the combination of the retro design and the teams current colors would look like?

I actually think that this compromise might actually work and be a quick and painless solution.

Can you image the Rams taking the field in 2024 with a new quarterback, bit it Bo Nix, Caleb Williams or whoever? What a way to energize the fan base!

A new look for a new era in Rams football!

Heck I even loved the all yellow alternates.

It makes me wonder why the Rams have been putting off releasing a second alternate jersey for the last two years? Do you think that they realize their mistake and are currently working on doing exactly what proposing?

Makes you think.

Throwbacks all the rage in the NFL right now and we have the best ones out there.

Abandoned Louisiana - The Pirate's Cove Water Park / Resort in Iowa

About ten minutes east of the city of Lake Charles are the remains of an abandoned water park . The decaying structures are clearly visible from the busy I-10 freeway and for years drivers have wondered about it's history and why it was left for dead.   The Pirate's Cove Water Park actually has a rather interesting story behind it. A story that has been repeated over and over again, unfortunately, here in Louisiana. It's just another example of how government bureaucracy in this state killed an enterprise before it could ever get off the ground. Construction on the park began in 2008 and it was scheduled to open sometime in 2010. The sprawling complex was envisioned as an oasis from the hot summer heat that would feature luxurious amenities like a 900 foot long lazy river, a giant splash pad for the kids and eventually a five star hotel. The Pirate's Cove would have been an obvious tourist destination that could have brought much needed tax dollars and employment oppo...

Abandoned Louisiana - The Old Hightower Family Home in Dodson

I have to admit that I have been hanging on to these photos for a couple of months now just looking for the right minute to post them. Back in November I was traveling up to El Dorado, Arkansas and I passed through the small town of Dodson. While driving through town my eyes spotted a very attractive old house up on a hill and I just had to stop and take a few photos of it. I honestly don't know the history of this house, but I'm sure some local will send me message telling me all about it (and someone did see the UPDATE ), and it's not as cool as an abandoned railroad locomotive or old movie house but it really spoke to me. I have to wonder about the people who used to live in it and how it ended up in the state it is now. Anyone can see that it was a beautiful house long ago. What happened? How did such a grand residence end up like this? Those are questions that I can't answer unfortunately.  Unfortunately a site like this isn't all that uncommon here in Louisian...
