AMBER HEARD (Mera) is an internationally celebrated actress and activist. Heard first emerged onscreen in 2004 with “Friday Night Lights,” and has since made dozens of genre-traversing movies from comedies (“Pineapple Express,” “Zombieland”), to horror (“The Ward,” “All the Boys Love Mandy Lane”), to action thrillers (“Drive Angry,” “Machete Kills”) and dramas (“Alpha Dog,” “The Danish Girl”). Her most recent independent movie, released September 2023, “In the Fire,” was also her latest as an executive producer. Amber became a truly global superstar upon acquiring her role as Mera in Zach Snyder’s “Justice League.” She continued in her role as Mera in “Aquaman,” which grossed over $1B at the global box office.
Beyond the silver screen, Amber is a dedicated advocate. She has lent her voice to causes that are close to her heart for the last two decades. In her early years in Hollywood, Amber volunteered at children’s hospitals in Los Angeles. She has since worked with numerous global organizations providing medical care to the world’s most vulnerable children, from Smile Train to missions for the Syrian American Medical Society (SAMS) in Lebanon, Jordan and Syria. Amber has also been a leading and emboldened voice for issues surrounding women’s rights, LGBTQ+ rights and refugees. She was awarded the prestigious title of UN Human Rights Ambassador and spoke at the Hague in 2018. She also became an ambassador for the ACLU. Amber spent several years campaigning for causes on Capitol Hill, including advocating and lobbying a bill (the SHIELD Act) to criminalize ‘revenge porn’ after her own experience of the hacking scandal in 2014 and continues to be fight for causes that have touched her and those who do not have a platform to speak for themselves.
