Warrant Publications just shot me an email about their upcoming issue of Vampiress Carmilla, which should hit store shelves in April. This marks the 21st issue of the horror comic magazine and will feature the work of original Warren artists, writers and editors.Egyptian Queen by Frank Frazetta Art Print Poster 24x36 inch - $13.49 @ Amazon.com - Order Here
If you think that the cover art looks familiar, it is a painting from 1975 by the famous fantasy and sci fi artist Frank Frazetta entitled Egyptian Queen. The image has graced the cover of pulp novels, rock albums and numerous books over the decades, but it is most famous for being used as the cover art for Creepy Magazine #92 in 1977.
Egyptian Queen has always been one of my favorite Frazetta paintings.
You can order both Vampiress Carmilla #21 and a poster print of the cover art at the Warrant publications website - HERE

My New Comic Book Obsession: Vampiress CarmillaI made a wonderful discovery in the magazine section of my local Books-A-Million today. As my eyes danced over a fine selection of horror and sci-fi themed publications I suddenly felt like I had time traveled back to the 1970s. Right in front of me was a copy of Vampiress Carmilla Magazine that was an obvious homage to the classic Vampirella mags that I used to riffle through back when Smokey chased The Bandit.
