In the summer of 2008, I developed a strong interest in the UFO phenomenon and began collecting reports of possible sightings from around the world. I published several articles about these alleged encounters, which drew significant attention. Many witnesses contacted me personally, and I shared their stories with my readers. The reports poured in from eyewitnesses and news outlets globally. During the period from summer 2008 to summer 2010, there were numerous credible sightings by individuals who reported seeing the same objects in the sky, despite being thousands of miles apart. The most intriguing of these came from the UK in November and December 2008, when sighting reports were received almost daily. I believe this collection of sightings will be quite thought-provoking for you.
Yalcin Yalman, a 41-year-old Turkish security guard, captured several UFO sightings on video over a five-month period from May to September near a compound in Istanbul. Yalman, who routinely brings a video camera to work, has compiled over two hours of footage showing a variety of unidentified aerial phenomena, including saucer-shaped "craft" and clusters of lights. Local residents have also witnessed these objects, and their voices can be heard in Yalman's recordings.
Yalman told The Sun newspaper, "I don't know what these things are. We filmed them several times and they are totally unknown to us. I was very excited when I saw them and I want the world to know that UFOs do exist." The footage has been reviewed by authorities in Turkey and the UK, but experts in both countries have not been able to dismiss it as a hoax.
Turkish UFO researcher Haktan Akdogan analyzed the video, stating, "In this amazing footage, the physical forms of UFOs and their metallic structures are clearly visible. What is more important is that in the close-up shots, entities within the objects can be distinctly made out." Russell Callaghan, the editor of "UFO Data Magazine" in the UK, added, "If authentic, this video footage from Turkey represents a serious challenge to science. I can honestly say that this footage is truly unique."
Turkish researchers have interviewed eyewitnesses and studied the footage frame by frame. They have concluded that the objects captured are neither computer-generated nor misidentified natural phenomena.
Goring reports the strange craft have been continuously hovering in the area around his home, and he worries he may be the focus of their observation. "I am worried they might beam me up. I feel I have to go out and keep looking for them now. Somebody has to report these things, as we don't know what they're here for," he said.
Goring's latest encounter occurred just last night. "I was outside on my scooter around 5am and watched them until about 6am. One came from the front and others came in from different directions. They seemed to be lighting up the clouds as they moved, with bright white lights. There was no noise, and they moved slowly, hovering, then shooting off at speed. I estimate they were around 50 feet across." Goring admits he doesn't know why any alien visitors would choose him or the Louth area for extensive study, but speculates they may be fascinated by the local fields. "They were the greatest thing I had ever seen, and if you ever saw them, you would never forget them."
Multiple eyewitnesses from various regions of Slovenia reported sighting an erratic, unidentified flying craft that caused localized power outages. Residents of Ajdovscina, Ozeljan, and Shempas all described hearing a strange sound around 6:00 PM, prompting them to investigate. When they went outside, they observed a peculiar object in the sky that appeared to disrupt both power and cell phone service in the surrounding areas.
One eyewitness from Nova Gorica stated, "It was very strange. We have never seen anything like it in this area." Other witnesses reported an "electric" feeling in the air, which they attributed to the craft "stealing" electrical power in an apparent effort to remain airborne.
Stephenville, Texas has become a hotspot for mass UFO sightings. Over the course of three consecutive nights in October, numerous witnesses reported seeing strange, multi-colored lights and a large, oval-shaped craft with bright lights in the area.
On the nights of October 21st and 22nd, locals described a series of buzzing, multi-colored lights moving in different directions. Then, on October 23rd, a group of students and parents leaving an event at Dublin High School spotted a large, oval-shaped object with very bright lights. One of the students, Andy Monrreal, managed to film the unidentified craft for about a minute using his parents' video camera. The footage was later featured on a local news broadcast, accompanied by statements from the Monrreal family.
Andy described the UFO as a "complete circle" that you could see the shape of. His father said he had "never seen anything like it" with "big lights and everything," while his mother noted it was a "round thing" with "lights around it, flickering and changing" - an "awesome" sight that was "just turning and flickering." In total, eleven witnesses reported seeing the mysterious aircraft that night, with many also noting military jets in the vicinity soon after.
It remains unclear whether the jets were scrambled to intercept the UFO or were simply conducting a routine training mission from a nearby Air Force base. However, similar sightings of unidentified flying objects near the Bush Ranch in Crawford, Texas were confirmed to have prompted fighter jets to be launched in January of this year.
In the early hours of the morning, Phil George and his band were driving home when they spotted a bright orange light in the night sky. They pulled over to get a better look, and the object they saw made a rapid, 45-degree turn before shooting off into space. George managed to snap a photo, but it only captured a small dot.
Here is George's account, which he submitted to the 3AW 363 News Talk website:
"There was absolutely no noise - no jet or propeller sound, and no aircraft lights. It was bright orange in color with a ring of pinspot lights around the 'front' and a red light on the underside. When you zoom in on the photo, you can see more detail.
The object traveled to our left, climbing to around 5,000 feet. It was the brightest thing in the dark sky, outshining the other stars. It put on a display for 2-3 minutes, then stopped, changed direction (without turning), and sped off at an amazing 45-degree angle upwards. It was completely out of view in about 8 seconds. Five people witnessed the UFO, and we all agreed it was not a human-made aircraft."
An estimated 14,000 people in Chorley, UK, were left without power for several minutes last week after a pair of unidentified flying objects (UFOs) reportedly buzzed a nearby power station. Local resident John Szwarc, who was driving at the time, noticed two strange-looking craft in the sky during the power outage.
Szwarc told the Lancashire Evening Post that the main UFO was a "huge bright cross" that shone with a brilliant silver or gold color, and there was also a smaller, globe-shaped object nearby. He said both objects were stationary in the daylight sky and disappeared at the same moment. Szwarc noted that electrical power cuts have been associated with UFO activity in the past.
The cross-shaped object was "very big and very imposing and altogether weird looking," Szwarc said, though it only remained visible for a few seconds before vanishing. A spokesman for United Utilities, the local power company, stated that the cause of the outage was unknown and that no reports of aliens or UFO sightings had crossed his desk, though he said the company would be on the lookout going forward.
On Saturday, November 29th, several witnesses, including Carol Marsh, observed a strange light show over Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk (UK). Around 10:30 pm, Marsh and her friends were standing outside the cathedral when they noticed a set of bright, revolving lights moving low across the sky over the town. Marsh described the lights as "very bright" and "almost like they were being fired up into the sky." The lights, which were completely silent, illuminated the sky for about 45 seconds before disappearing.
Another local resident also reported seeing a grey-colored UFO hovering over the church and contacted the police. The police confirmed receiving this report at 10:43 pm of a "large object spinning in the sky for around 10 to 12 minutes, which looked like a UFO." However, skeptics have suggested the lights may have come from a nearby Christmas festival, though this seems unlikely to explain the full sighting. As of now, the incident has been added to the numerous reports of strange lights in the sky from around the world.
It seems that if you want to see something strange in the sky these days, you need to be in the UK. As I have started to write about UFO reports from around the globe, I have noticed that the vast majority of the sightings have come from Britain. Is it possible that alien visitors have found something intriguing in the British Isles? Perhaps they are just waiting to find out who the next Doctor Who will be, like the rest of us?
The latest reported sighting comes from Hertford, where a blazing UFO flew across the sky around 8:30 pm last Sunday night. An eyewitness posted this account online: "It travelled south and I tracked it for about two minutes. It was at quite a height, bright orange and had shots of what looked like orange flame that shot from the sides or top every now and then. As it got south of Hertford it went out of sight, either extinguished or to a height or at a distance where it could not be seen. There were no other lights with it such as you would normally expect on a plane. Sounds bonkers but I definitely saw it."
Another witness stated, "I was laying down on the ground watching the clouds drift by, when a black circular object came into view against the clouds which then moved in a very strange manner, basically no plane could have done this with such speed and precision. Then when a plane came into view, this object disappeared completely. I am so convinced that I saw this UFO that I phoned my wife to tell her, as I expected she would think I was mad."
Yet another witness recounts, "After the clocks struck midnight, my friends and I retreated to the beer garden of a Hertford pub. I looked up at the night sky and saw an object the height of a low-flying light aircraft or helicopter, no more than 800-1000 feet up and travelling in a straight line. It moved slowly at first, and I screamed to the people, 'Look at this!' But being drunk, they didn't pay much attention. Luckily, 5 of us in total saw the object, as I would have thought I was mad otherwise! The object was like a huge, orange, fire-filled sphere. I would say it was 4 times the size of any plane at that height. Suddenly, the object picked up ridiculous speed, then seemed to maintain that constant speed as it disappeared from view."
A local hotel worker also recounts seeing the incident: "I was working at the Hertford House Hotel at the time, and it seemed to be in the direction of Richard Hale School. It was 3 orange(ish) globes that formed a large triangle. This was all witnessed by about 25-35 people.
Robert Teuu, a local resident, decided to test out his brand-new camera by photographing the Cannock Town Centre. Upon reviewing the photos at home, he noticed something peculiar hovering above the LA Rock Cafe in one of the shots. At first, Teuu thought his eyes were playing tricks on him, believing the object must be a plane or a bird. However, when he zoomed in, it became clear that the object was something extraterrestrial.
"It's not an aircraft. It must be some kind of UFO. I know that sounds crazy, but I can't think of it being anything else," Teuu told the Sunday Mercury. "I zoomed into the object and was even more puzzled. I just couldn't believe what I was seeing."
Teuu's sighting is not entirely surprising, as the Cannock area has reportedly been the location of several credible UFO sightings over the decades. Declassified government documents describe numerous incidents, including silent, rotating lights around the Pye Green Tower, cigar-shaped objects hovering over Burntwood, and a 10ft hovering light over the Stafford Road. Furthermore, between 1986 and 1992, the British Ministry of Defence was in constant contact with local authorities, attempting to find explanations for the numerous UFO reports originating from the Cannock region.
Andrew Freke, a 47-year-old pilot, was in his backyard in Ashbrook Crescent, Solihull, on Christmas Eve when he noticed strange lights overhead. Initially, there was just one bright orange object, but shortly thereafter, five more similar objects joined the first and hovered above him.
Freke explains, "First, I thought it was a star, but then I saw it moving. It was traveling at around 150 miles per hour and flying at about 2,000 feet. I knew it wasn't a plane or a helicopter, and that's when I got a bit excited and called for my wife and kids who were inside."
For about 15 seconds, three pairs of these objects were flying around. Freke has no idea what they were, describing the sighting as "very weird." While his family watched the objects, he rushed inside to grab his camera, but the resulting image was nothing more than an orange dot in the night sky.
Freke hopes that more can be learned about the objects from his photograph, saying, "I'm sure there is a way of calculating how big the aircraft was by working out the scale on the photo." The Solihull resident is now hoping that someone else will come forward to corroborate his story and possibly provide more insight into the sighting. "There must be an explanation for this. Maybe someone out there knows what they were," he concludes.
On the night of March 6th, several residents of Buckeye, Arizona reported seeing a series of mysterious, glowing lights in the sky. Eyewitnesses described the lights as being organized in groups of two, three, and four, and moving southward over the town, between Interstates 8 and 10, towards the open desert. The lights would periodically blink on and off in a repeated pattern.
According to the eyewitnesses, Air Force fighter jets were scrambled to intercept the lights. However, as the jets approached, the lights would blink out, making them impossible to locate. After circling the area briefly in an attempt to reacquire the lights, the jets departed. Almost immediately after the fighters left, the lights reappeared, with two additional sets spotted to the west of Interstate 10 - one moving slowly in a straight line, the other in an up-and-down fashion. In total, the lights were observed for over an hour.
For the second time in two weeks, a spectacular diamond-shaped unidentified flying object (UFO) has caused a stir in China. On July 7th, the sighting of an unidentified celestial object that left an impressive vapor trail shut down all flights in and out of Xiaoshan Airport in the eastern city of Hangzhou for about an hour. The airport's radar system began tracking the object, which was dangerously close to the facility, prompting officials to close the airport and divert incoming flights to other airports.
Now, the same object has reportedly made a second appearance, this time in the southwestern city of Chongqing. According to witnesses, the diamond-shaped UFO hovered over Shaping Park for around an hour before climbing to a high altitude and disappearing from sight. "I stared at it and it did not move," said eyewitness Chen. "After hovering for an hour, the thing started to fly higher and finally out of people's sight."
Many UFO investigators have inquired about the July 7th sighting, but have encountered resistance from the Chinese government. One source within China stated that the Xiaoshan Airport radar did not pick up the UFO, while another declined to comment, citing a "military connection" to the incident.
The spectators at a local rodeo in Katherine, Australia were stunned when a bright, shining object slowly glided across the sky above the showgrounds, only to vanish without a trace around 6:20 pm. Numerous bystanders witnessed the aerial phenomenon, including 35-year-old Mel Auty from Camira, Queensland, who initially mistook it for a plane catching the light. "But it was more like a falling star, just not falling," Auty said. "It was slowly making its way across the sky. And it wasn't dark enough for stars to be out. It was there for maybe five seconds, before it suddenly disappeared." 8-year-old Rikkasha Barcley echoed the sentiment, stating, "There was this bright thing and then it was gone. It was really strange. I don't know what it was. It was there, then it was gone." Similarly, 32-year-old Vicki Mulholland, who was watching the rodeo, was distracted by the bright object as "it kept going and going and suddenly it was gone just as if someone had switched it off."
According to The Star, a Malaysian English-language daily, a large, blue disk was reportedly seen hovering near the Tuaran Beach Resort, located near Kota Kinabalu, the capital of the Malaysian state of Sabah on the South China Sea. The daytime sighting, which occurred on July 18 and lasted only a few minutes, apparently generated a single, impressive photograph. This was allegedly due to the cell phones of most hotel guests and staff who attempted to capture the object "going dead."

September 25, 2008 - Brinkhill, United Kingdom
Eric Goring, a 61-year-old man from Brinkhill, UK, fears he may be the target of an alien abduction after witnessing UFOs around his house for the past six weeks. According to Goring, the sightings began on September 25th when he noticed a group of triangular-shaped craft in the night sky near his home. "I have been watching these spaceships for six weeks now, and saw eight together on September 25th and more again just last night. Any claim that these are just Chinese lanterns is ridiculous," Goring said.Goring reports the strange craft have been continuously hovering in the area around his home, and he worries he may be the focus of their observation. "I am worried they might beam me up. I feel I have to go out and keep looking for them now. Somebody has to report these things, as we don't know what they're here for," he said.
