Happy July 4th Everyone!
If you have been following either this blog or my Facebook page you have probably realized that I am a shutterbug. I love to take pictures, pictures and more pictures. I love to take photos of anything and everything under the sun.
Honestly I'm like a Japanese tourist.
Way back in 2013 and 14 I decided to take a whack at photographing the July 4th fireworks. Every year there was a big fireworks show at the nearby San Bernardino County Fairgrounds and I had great vantage point to see them from the backyard. I took several shots but only a few of them turned out. The ones that did, however, were very interesting (in my opinion) abstract collections of shapes and colors.
The next year our two boys bought a ton of fireworks and I again tried to capture the abstract shapes and lights as each one went off. This was far more successful than my prior attempt to capture the explosions from a distance. The close proximity of myself to the action allowed me to get some rather dramatic images.
