Hey, guess what people, you can't make an exact copy of animated show because the two mediums are more different than people think. Despite these differences the folks over at Netflix made an amazing adaptation of the popular anime Cowboy Bebop, unfortunately critics and surprisingly fans of the original series failed to understand it.
I'll let my Twitter post speak for itself:
@netflix I'm so angry that Cowboy Bebop was cancelled! As a fan of the original anime I can say that I loved it. I was excited for a second season. It was the only good show on the service. #CowboyBebop #SaveCowboyBebop #anime #Netflix #sciencefiction

It may surprise a lot of people but that tweet has gotten a ton of likes and retweets from like-minded fans who are not happy that Cowboy Bebop got the axe!
Roll the tape:
We need not look any further than the replies to that video for proof that Netflix listened to the wrong people in canceling Cowboy Bebop.

I think you guys did a beautiful job with this adaption. I loved how you stayed true to the the original as much as possible but remained entertaining and suspenseful with this new take. It’s tough taking 20+ episodes in each season to fit into 10. Unfortunately you can’t please everybody but as for me, I can’t wait to see the next season with Radical Ed! 😘😘

I watched both the anime and live action in these last two months. There are pros and cons to both, I understand being hesitant towards a new project that is based in something you're nostalgic about, but from an objective viewer who didn't grow up with the show - they are very different but both are worthwhile projects and I'm excited for Season 2!
I absolutely thoroughly enjoyed this live action version. Does it rise to the heights of the original? No, nothing ever will; taking it as its own thing, though it's fantastic kinetic fun from beginning to end. the actor performances were charming and hilarious and had some hidden depths, and that ending was pretty hear breaking so I
I had a loooooot of fun with the series XD. The humor, the vibe, the music, the actors. I was happy when I finished my day and could just relax and laugh. I want more.
I'm so proud of this live series, the vibes were so positive! I really loved this live series of Cowboy Bebop, thank you for the producers, the directors, the whole staff, and the actors I really appreciated this a lot!
AHHHHHHH! Thank you SO much for this! I freakin' LOVED the live action, and seeing interviews with cast is always awesome! I love how S1 built up Julia to be closer to where she's at in the anime. So excited to see S2!

Yoko Kano and the seatbealts seriously permeate my whole existence well done to the whole cast crew and band this show is awesome.
I could go with these but I don't want to beat a dead horse. I all fairness there were some negative posts in response to this video but they were in the minority. Overall there were a fair amount of fans that knew that a live-action Cowboy Bebop could never live up to their expectations and respected the Netflix version on it's own merits as a separate and different entity.
The overall conclusion from all of this is that Netflix made a kneejerk reaction based on the responses from critics, who honestly never understand these kind of programs, and fans who wanted a frame by frame (exact) duplicate of the original anime and wouldn't stand for anything less and canceled the series.
I can only hope that posts like this and a slew of online petitions (oh there are some out thee) will encourage Netflix to reverse their decision and produce a second season of Cowboy Bebop.
