Ever since I started this website back in 2020 I have wanted to do a regular feature about the hundreds of movie stills in my own personal collection. So far I have managed to post about a mere ten of these images. For some reason I just can't seem to find a couple of minutes to pull a photo out of a box and plop it down on my scanner.
I need to be a lot more disciplined about getting these things posted so that fans can get as much enjoyment out of them as I do. I'm certain that many of these may not have ever been seen by many movie fans.
Today I have a great promotional image from the 1955 Universal horror classic Revenge of the Creature. I would have to assume that it is Ricou Browning in the Creature costume and not Tom Hennessy, who replaced Ben Chapman in this film. Strangely the caption underneath the image states that actress Lori Nelson (Helen Dobson) is also in the shot even though she isn't. I can only assume since many of the promotional images featured the monster carrying off the lifeless blond scientist that the studio forgot to change the words for this image.
The Creature from the Black Lagoon (1954) has been captured by scientists and transported to an aquarium in south Florida. Once there, he becomes attracted to lovely female scientist Helen Dobson (Lori Nelson) and manages to escape and kidnap her, and heads to Jacksonville, with her real-life love in pursuit. - IMDB

Fantastic Photos From Fantasy Films: Godzilla King of the Monsters - INCREDIBLE, UNSTOPPABLE TITAN OF TERROR!A perfect example of this is the photo above, which is actually my favorite Godzilla movie still because of its rather unique composition, in this image you have a photo of Tokyo as the background and then of course you have Godzilla himself - who is made up of the body of the creature as seen in the film with a different head. - READ MORE

The picture is the first of several films in which the comedy duo meets classic characters from Universal's horror film stable. In this film, they encounter Count Dracula (Bela Lugosi), Frankenstein's monster (Glenn Strange), and the Wolf Man (Lon Chaney Jr.). Subsequent films pair the duo with the Invisible Man, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, and the Mummy. - READ MORE
