 From the Durango & Silverton The Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad (D&SNGRR)™, which offers distinctive year-round rail experiences and special events to passengers of all ages in the remote, scenic wilderness and high-mountain landscape of Colorado’s San Juan National Forest today announced the fares, classes of service and operating schedule for its Cascade Canyon winter train excursions from November through early January. Additional dates of operation for January-early May 2023 will be announced at a later date. Beginning Saturday, November 19, and continuing through Sunday, January 1, the D&SNGRR will operate one round trip train excursion on select days to Cascade Canyon. A variety of classes of service will be available including Presidential, First Class, Deluxe and Standard. The train will be closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. Union Pacific Steam Club Update - Big Boy No. 4014's Denver Excursion

 From the Union Pacific Steam Club We're sorry to announce that we're unable to reschedule the Big Boy No. 4014's West Coast Steam Tour in 2022 as we continue to focus on efforts to improve network operations. We will look to reschedule this tour in the future. Instead, No. 4014 will head south to Denver on Thursday, July 28. The Big Boy will be on display in Denver on Friday, July 29 along with the "Experience the Union Pacific" rail car, a multi-media walk-through exhibition that provides a glimpse of the past while telling the story of modern-day railroading. There will also be a live Q&A with the Steam Crew. Admission is free to Friday's display. On Saturday, July 30, Big Boy No. 4014 will pull the 2022 Museum Special, a special passenger trip from Denver to Cheyenne, hosted by the Union Pacific Museum . Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad 2022 Schedule to Feature New Trips, a Later Season Opener & Streamlined Options

 From Cumbres & Toltec The C&TS 2022 kicks off on June 11, 2022. The later opening addresses the variable weather on Cumbres Pass and ensures a more pleasant outdoor experience for passengers. The season will run through October 23, 2022. The new 2022 schedule features a mix of offerings, including:Full Excursion Trips travel by train the full line between Chama, NM and Antonito, Colo. and includes a one-hour bus ride. These trips are called the Antonito All Aboard and the Chama All Aboard and include lunch and motorcoach service. Adult ticket prices start at $135 for summer departures and $155 for the fall season. Half Limited Trips travel half the C&TS line from either Chama, NM or Antonito, Colo to the mid-way point of Osier Station and back. Lunch is included and the trips, are called the Chama Limited or the Antonito Limited, are solely via train, with no bus service.
