I woke up this morning with a plan to post about the first episode of the 1973 Retro Saturday Morning classic The Addams Family entitled The Addams Family in New York. As most of you already know I like to include the full episode in my posts so that fans can watch them online. Sometimes these episodes can be easy to find and sometimes they simply don't exist on any of the common platforms out there like YouTube and Dailymotion. Today however I hit the jackpot. I discovered that the Internet Archive actually had the entire series available to stream.  I asked myself, why just post one episode when you can post an entire series for the fans to enjoy ? So here it is, the entire Addams Family animated series: Synopsis: The Addams Family is an American animated sitcom adaptation of the Charles Addams single-panel comic for The New Yorker. The series was produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions for Saturday mornings in 1973 and was rebroadcast the following season. Jackie Coogan and ...

Kristin Baver over at the Star Wars website has written an amazing article about everything you need to know about the new Disney+ series Andor: When Rogue One: A Star Wars Story debuted in theaters in 2016, it was lauded as a gritty new installment in the galaxy far, far away, a previously unexplored chapter that took viewers to the brink of the Galactic Civil War raging throughout the original trilogy. With Andor , the new Star Wars series streaming exclusively on Disney+ beginning today, creator and executive producer Tony Gilroy has returned to tell not only the origin story of unlikely hero Cassian Andor (played once again by Diego Luna), but — perhaps more importantly — take fans deep into the sometimes-ugly heart of the brewing rebellion. This previously unexplored perspective on the history of the Rebel Alliance finds Andor in a raw and unflinching portrayal of the personal sacrifices made in the course of challenging the Empire ’s rule and the people at work in the tre...

Get in the trenches & stand up for what you believe in. The key to leadership is to never ever quit. That’s LEADERSHIP! Be Hopeful!  Hope is not a sedative; it is a shot of adrenaline, a blood transfusion. Like an anchor, our hope in Christ stabilizes us in the storms of life; but unlike an anchor, our hope moves us forward; it does not hold us back. -Warren Wiersbe Tough times: Although we may experience tough times, disappointing moments, and heartache, we still can have hope if we believe. These temporary detours of suffering will actually strengthen our commitment to Christ and our testimony for Him. You see, as believers, we all have an incredible future with Christ in heaven. Hope deferred: Don’t ever allow your hope to be deferred. Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a dream fulfilled is a tree of life (Proverbs 13:12). No one likes waiting. It feels good to get what we want. But when our expectations are delayed, we can experience disappointment, disillision...

One of my favorite places in Louisiana is Bayou Plaquemine Waterfront Park and the adjacent Plaquemine Lock State Historic Site. I really enjoy the site for it's history as well as it's beautiful well kept grounds. It's a great place to take a peaceful walk by yourself or enjoy a picnic with family. Every time I have been there the location has been quite, peaceful and surprisingly devoid of more than a handful of visitors. It is truly one of the Pelican State's true hidden gems. Here is some history: As a distributary of the Mississippi River and a route to the heartland of Louisiana through the Atchafalaya Basin, Bayou Plaquemine was used as a navigable artery centuries before the age of European exploration. From the early 1700s, Bayou Plaquemine served as a commercial transport route, promoting settlement and economic prosperity in southwest and northern Louisiana via the Atchafalaya, Red and other rivers. The Plaquemine Lock was designed by Colonel George W. Goet...

It's a brand new week and I thought it would be a good idea to start it off with an upbeat and positive song from Foxes called Forgive Yourself. I've been a big fan of this song for a while and I've been looking for an excuse to feature it here. In case you don't know who Foxes is: Louisa Rose Allen, known professionally as Foxes, is an English singer, songwriter and model. Foxes's debut album, Glorious, was released in 2014, and features the top 20 singles "Youth", "Let Go for Tonight" and "Holding onto Heaven".  Foxes album The Kick is a really great upbeat dance album and every track is just amazing.
