A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving" is an Emmy award-winning animated television special based on the Peanuts comic strip by Charles M. Schulz. Directed by Phil Roman and Bill Melendez, the special originally aired on CBS on November 20, 1973 and continues to air annually in the United States around the Thanksgiving holiday.
When Linus arrived, Charlie explained his predicament. Linus proposed a solution: have two Thanksgiving dinners - one in the afternoon with the other kids, and then Charlie could still go to his grandmother's as planned. However, Charlie was unsure, as his cooking skills were limited to basic dishes like cereal and toast.
Linus, Snoopy, and Woodstock offered to help Charlie prepare for the dinner. Linus recruited Snoopy and Woodstock to set up the guest area and handle the meal preparation. Soon after, Peppermint Patty, Marcie, and Franklin arrived. Once everyone was seated, Linus said grace and gave a speech about the meaning of Thanksgiving.
