Classic UFO Reports Too Compelling To Ignore

June 24, 1947 Mount Rainier, Washington

The modern age of UFO's is born when a pilot named Kenneth Arnold spotted a formation of strange aircraft over Mount Rainier, Washington while searching for a downed U.S. Marine Corps C-46 transport airplane. In an official report that was published around the globe Arnold described the craft as being 'saucer shaped' and hence forth the term 'flying saucer' became a staple of modern pop culture. The fact that Arnold was an experienced flyer and WWII combat pilot added credibility to the sighting.

January 7, 1948 Godman Air Force Base, Kentucky

After the tower crew at Godman Air Force Base in western Kentucky had spotted an unidentified aircraft between 250 and 300 feet in diameter souring above them at a fantastic speed a squadron of Air National Guard P-51 Mustangs under the command of  Captain Thomas Mantell were called upon to give chase and identify.

Whether spooked or running low on fuel themselves, two of the fighters broke off the chase leaving Mantell as the lone pursuer of the object. At 3:15 pm the Air Force Captain radioed back to Godman that he was going to try and move in closer to the UFO to get a better look at it.

Several hours later the wreckage of the P-51, along with Mantell's remains, were discovered in the woods close to Fort Knox. Though no one knows for sure just what exactly happened to the Air Force Captain and his plane many have speculated that it was either forced to crash or even possibly was shot down by the UFO. The Air Force officially reported that Mantell had 'blacked-out' at 20,000 feet due to lack of oxygen and crashed and that the UFO in question was nothing more than the planet Venus.

April 24, 1949 White Sands Proving Grounds, New Mexico

Commander Robert B. McLaughlin and his crew were just about to launch a balloon as part of the Navy's Project Skyhook when a elliptical, flat, white UFO 105 feet in diameter appeared on their tracking equipment. According to an article McLaughlin later wrote for 'True' magazine (Flying Saucers Are Real) the object was at an altitude of 56 miles and was traveling at 18,000 miles per hour. It should be noted that balloons from Project Skyhook were often times listed in government reports as the source of many alleged UFO sightings.

1957 Brazil

Brazilian student Antonio Villa Boas was reportedly dragged into an egg-shaped UFO by four strange looking 'people' while he had been plowing his father's field. Once he was inside he was confronted by what he says was a small, sexy, naked blond woman with whom he reportedly had sexual relations. After the encounter Villa Boas was given a tour of the craft then returned to the field with all of his memories in tact.

In the weeks after the incident Villa Boas began to exhibit the signs of radiation poisoning and developed strange wounds all over his body which left the local medical community baffled. Due to the young man's reputation for honesty local officials had no choice but to believe his story no matter how incredible it was.

August 8-22, 1980 Albuquerque, New Mexico

On the night of August 8, 1980 a large honey-combed collection of lights is spotted over the city of Albuquerque, New Mexico. The bright formation remained motionless directly over the city for several hours before it simply vanished. The lights appeared again periodically over the next two weeks in different quadrants of the sky above the southwestern metropolis before vanishing forever on August 22nd.

During that time period several security guards at nearby Kirtland Air Force Base reported seeing brightly illuminated round UFO's landing and then taking off at incredible speeds in and around Coyote Canyon which is adjacent to the Manzano Weapons Storage Area where nuclear weapons are reportedly kept.

January 5, 2009 Conisholme, UK

During the period between late 2008 and early 2009 the media was overwhelmed by reports of strange lights over the British isles. All of the reports were pretty benign until the morning of January 5, 2009 when one of these lights reportedly crashed into a 66ft tall wind turbine in Conisholme (UK). What the eyewitnesses reported seeing that morning was nothing short of incredible.

John Harrison, a local resident, describes what he saw that night, “It was huge. At first I thought it must have been a hole where the moon was shining through but then I saw the tentacles – it looked just like an octopus It was an incredible site; I have never seen anything like it before. I have no idea what it was, all I can say is what I saw”.

Whether it was a space ship or some sort of monster the wind turbine was severely damaged by something and one of it's blades was sheared off and never recovered.

March 6, 2009 Buckeye, Arizona

Several residents of Buckeye, Az reported seeing multiple sets of orange lights on the horizon. The lights which were grouped in sets of 2, 3, and 4, reportedly moved south over the town between interstate 8 and 10 towards the open desert. The lights would periodically blink on and off in a repeated order.
The eyewitnesses noted that during their observation several Air Force jets attempted to follow the lights but as they came close to them they blinked out making location impossible. After circling for a short period of time in an attempt to relocate the lights the jets left the area.

Almost on cue two minutes after the fighters had departed the lights returned.

June 29, 2010 Riverside, Ca

Several witnesses report seeing a large silver-metallic cigar shaped object traveling across the sky above Riverside, California from east to west. The object in question according to the witnesses looked like 'a commercial airliner with no wings or tail.' Also according to those who saw the craft it moved very slowly and then just disappeared 'like someone turning off a light.'

Objects resembling this description and exhibiting this same behavior have been reported over the LA basin ever since.

Abandoned Louisiana - The Pirate's Cove Water Park / Resort in Iowa

About ten minutes east of the city of Lake Charles are the remains of an abandoned water park . The decaying structures are clearly visible from the busy I-10 freeway and for years drivers have wondered about it's history and why it was left for dead.   The Pirate's Cove Water Park actually has a rather interesting story behind it. A story that has been repeated over and over again, unfortunately, here in Louisiana. It's just another example of how government bureaucracy in this state killed an enterprise before it could ever get off the ground. Construction on the park began in 2008 and it was scheduled to open sometime in 2010. The sprawling complex was envisioned as an oasis from the hot summer heat that would feature luxurious amenities like a 900 foot long lazy river, a giant splash pad for the kids and eventually a five star hotel. The Pirate's Cove would have been an obvious tourist destination that could have brought much needed tax dollars and employment oppo...

The Force in Star Wars | May the 4th Be With You | Miracle Mindset

The Force in the Star Wars universe bears many striking similarities to spiritual concepts found in Christianity. Much like how Christians believe in an all-encompassing, omnipresent God, the Force is described as an energy field created by all living things that surrounds and penetrates living beings and binds the galaxy together. There is a light and dark side to the Force, mirroring the battle between good and evil, angels and demons in Christian theology. The path of the Jedi, who align with the light side of the Force, is one of self-sacrifice, discipline, and overcoming temptation - very much like the Christian walk of faith. The Jedi are guided by the Force just as Christians are led by the Holy Spirit. And in the same way that Jesus' ultimate sacrifice defeated sin and death and offers salvation to mankind, the heroic sacrifices of Jedi like Obi-Wan Kenobi and Luke Skywalker bring hope and turn the tide against the evil Empire. The Star Wars saga is a timeless story of goo...
