Louisiana Through My Lens - The Louisiana Southern Railroad sets out cars at Arclin Chemical in Winn Parish

A couple of weeks back I was traveling up Highway 167 between Winnfield and Dodson heading to El Dorado, Arkansas for work. As I passed over Parish Road 1065 I thought that I spotted a train so I quickly turned onto the nearest road and backtracked towards the area where I thought I saw a locomotive. As a matter of luck I wasn't imagining things and there was a pair of Louisiana Southern locomotives switching cars at the nearby Arclin Chemical plant.

The Louisiana Southern Railroad operates over former Rock Island and Louisiana & Arkansas Railroad trackage between Hodge and Pineville, Louisiana.
