Tonight Terri and I watched one of our favorite TV shows entitled Japan Railway Journal that streams on the NHK channel website. Japan Railway Journal is an amazing program that highlights Japan's amazing trains along with Japanese culture. Terri and I fell in love with the program when we lived in California and the channel was part of our basic cable package, Obviously here in Louisiana there is no interest in the NHK channel so thankfully the network streams their programs online.
The three episodes we watched tonight focused on some of Japan's premiere tourist trains one being the Seven Stars and the other being JR East's Shiki-Shima.
These two trains are absolutely amazing! I want you to think of them as a luxury cruise, but not on a ship, but on a train, These trains are more luxuries than any cruise ship could be but they only travel through the Japan. That being said, I would take one of these trains before I ever took a ship that traveled to Mexico.
This is the episode we watched, sadly we can't feature it here but if you click on it you can watch it on YouTube.
The Seven Stars in Kyushu and Shiki-Shima trains are without a doubt the most wonderful trains that anyone can experience in the world. God willing I will be able to take one of them someday.
