Miracle Mindset | Who is God? | The First Steps of a Journey

Image
Written by Ken Hulsey In the waning days of 2024, I had made up my mind to begin a new series of articles and develop a stronger relationship with God that coincided with the start of a new year. I had every intention of starting as soon as the new year began; then I hit a block, a wall if you will. What would my new series be about? What would its ultimate goal be? On what subject would I begin? I wrestled with these questions over and over, and before I ever realized it or ever started, it was the beginning of April.

Finding the Right Path in Life - Divine Wisdom & Guidance | Wisdom Seeker | Miracle Mindset

Image
By Ken Hulsey This morning, I revisited cherished photographs from a trip Terri and I took to Big Bear Lake. On that day, we savored a picnic lunch beside the serene waters and spent time exploring the surrounding trails. As you know, I rarely venture forth without my trusty camera, and that day was no exception – I captured several dozen images. One particular shot has always resonated with me, featuring a tree-lined path that resembles a tunnel, with light shining at the end. The scene struck me as profoundly spiritual, prompting me to search for a Bible verse that captured its essence. This is the passage the Lord led me to:

Finding the right path in life is a worthwhile journey in search of divine wisdom and guidance

This morning I was going through some old photographs of a trip that Terri and I took to Big Bear Lake. On that day we enjoyed a picknick lunch next to the water and spent some time hiking around the area.  As you well know, I rarely go on any kind of excursion without my trusty camera on my side and on that day I took several dozen images. One of my favorites has always been the one featured above. The image features tree lined trail that somewhat resembles a tunnel with light at the end. I always thought that the scene was very spiritual, so I decided to go in search of a Bible verse that matched the essence of what I photographed that day.

Connector - The Quest For Knowledge

Image
For some time now, I have been looking for a way to use the talents that God has blessed with to further His kingdom. Since my natural talent is photography I wanted to find a way to use my images in a meaningful way alongside faith based content.  Tonight I decided to delve deep into my photo archives and feature some photos that I took way back in 2011 when I lived in Orange County in Southern California. These images feature the monolithic sculpture known as Connector that was created in 2006 by the artist Richard Serra. You can find it on the grounds of the Segerstrom Concert Hall in Costa Mesa. Since I wanted to focus on Biblical knowledge and Wisdom, I thought that Connector was an excellent visual to correspond with the text. The angles of the giant metal sculpture are indeed thought inspiring, and to be honest, staring at it like I once did used to spawn many profound ideas about life in my sentimental little mind. The cool thing about Connector, is the fact that it is...

In This Season of Thanksgiving and Gift Giving - Having an Attitude of Gratitude

Image
A magnificent sunrise here in Alexandria, Louisiana. These wonderful scenes like this constantly remind me of the blessings God provides every single day. Since Terri and I moved here to Louisiana from California six years ago the Lord has been teaching both of us to have a heart of gratitude. Back in California we pretty much had it all, great climate, the beach, the mountains, great food, great shopping and literally hundreds of things to do and see. Here in Louisiana life is different. It's a simpler kind of life devoid of all the distractions of city life. Many of the things we enjoyed in California simply don't exist here.  When we were enjoying all the things a west coast life provided we were never thankful or grateful for any of it. We never gave God any praise for it, in fact we often complained about it.  Today we both have a different perspective on things. Our life may not be as once was, but we now give the Lord the praise and glory for what he provides. Thi...

Are We On The Brink Of Armageddon? Scholars Agree The Time Is Upon Us!

"And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows." - Jesus Christ In this video Pastor James W. Greer outlines just how the events taking place in the world today are aligning with prophecy: 2 Things to learn from Jesus. ( John 3:16-17, NKJV ) Jesus loves everyone. Jesus will forgive anyone. ( Luke 23:33-34, NKJV ) While they are fighting a physical battle, it’s really a spiritual battle. The spiritual battle will one day be won. ( Ephesians 6:12, NKJV ) Many are blinded to spiritual truth. ( Ephesians 6:11-12 , TLB; John 10:10, NKJV ; 1 Peter 5:8, NKJV , TLB; John 12:37-42, NKJV ) No one knows the day that Jesus will return. ( Matthew 24:36-42, NKJV ; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18, NKJV ) One will be taken and on...

Are Giants Real? History Proves That They Are and They Are Still Among Us!

Image
This past week I discovered an interesting little tidbit in Facebook feed from a paranormal group about Native American encounters with giant hominoids in ancient times. Included in the article was the above illustration that sparked my interest simply because it looked like the cover of an old Turok Son of Stone comic book. Nostalgia aside, the accompanying story jarred my memory of something I had read years ago about the discovery of a giant skeleton in Lompoc, California sometime in the 1800s. This again sparked my curiosity and I was able to find the story with a quick online search. In 1833, a group of Mexican soldiers stationed in Lompoc, were digging a powder-magazine pit on the old Lompoc Rancho one morning when they unearthed a human skeleton. This skeleton, found beneath a layer of cemented gravel, was 12 feet tall. The giant had double rows of teeth on its upper and lower jaws and was surrounded by burial offerings such as carved shells, huge stone axes, and porphyry...

With Jesus Sometimes We Don't See The Footprints

Image
I think that everyone is familiar with the famous spiritual poem Footprints or Footprints in the Sand as it is sometimes called.  One night I dreamed a dream. As I was walking along the beach with my Lord. Across the dark sky flashed scenes from my life. For each scene, I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand, One belonging to me and one to my Lord. After the last scene of my life flashed before me, I looked back at the footprints in the sand. I noticed that at many times along the path of my life, especially at the very lowest and saddest times, there was only one set of footprints. This really troubled me, so I asked the Lord about it. "Lord, you said once I decided to follow you, You'd walk with me all the way. But I noticed that during the saddest and most troublesome times of my life, there was only one set of footprints. I don't understand why, when I needed You the most, You would leave me." He whispered, "My precious child, I love you and will never...
