The Rams' Cooper Kupp sets both League and Franchise Records in 20-10 Win over Seattle

 From the Rams Official Website:

At the rate Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp has been producing this season, it was not a matter of if, but when, this record would be set.

Kupp's 6-yard touchdown reception in the third quarter of Tuesday's game against the Seahawks gave him his 120th catch overall this season, setting a new franchise single-season record. The mark was previously held by Isaac Bruce, who finished with 119 in 1995.

Additionally, the catch before that – a 32-yard gain – gave him 90 yards, setting a new NFL record with his 10th-straight game of at least 90 receiving yards.

Kupp finished with nine catches overall Tuesday night – giving him 122 on the season – for 136 yards and two touchdowns in the Rams' 20-10 victory over the Seahawks Tuesday night.
With a chance to tie the Arizona Cardinals at the top of the NFC West, the Los Angeles Rams took full advantage and handled their business against the Seattle Seahawks. They beat their division rivals 20-10 at home on Tuesday night, a game that was postponed two days due to COVID-19.

They did so despite being without three starters who were on the COVID-19 list: Rob Havenstein, Tyler Higbee and Jordan Fuller.
The game was closer than the final 10-point margin indicates, but the Rams were the better team and showed it at home. Here’s a recap of what happened in Los Angeles’ key win.

The Rams held on to beat the Seahawks with 10 fourth-quarter points and 17 points in the second half. They were tied 3-3 at halftime but they outscored Seattle 17-7 in the final 30 minutes and Matthew Stafford orchestrated three scoring drives to put the Rams ahead for good. - READ MORE
There’s no reason Michel should give up the lead role in the backfield. He was effective once again Tuesday night, rushing for 92 yards on 18 carries, also adding a 24-yard reception on a screen pass in the fourth quarter. His 39-yard run set up Kupp’s 6-yard touchdown reception, and his 17-yard run late in the fourth quarter helped get the Rams’ game-sealing drive underway and put them in field goal range while already holding a 17-10 lead. - Source

Abandoned Louisiana - The Pirate's Cove Water Park / Resort in Iowa

About ten minutes east of the city of Lake Charles are the remains of an abandoned water park . The decaying structures are clearly visible from the busy I-10 freeway and for years drivers have wondered about it's history and why it was left for dead.   The Pirate's Cove Water Park actually has a rather interesting story behind it. A story that has been repeated over and over again, unfortunately, here in Louisiana. It's just another example of how government bureaucracy in this state killed an enterprise before it could ever get off the ground. Construction on the park began in 2008 and it was scheduled to open sometime in 2010. The sprawling complex was envisioned as an oasis from the hot summer heat that would feature luxurious amenities like a 900 foot long lazy river, a giant splash pad for the kids and eventually a five star hotel. The Pirate's Cove would have been an obvious tourist destination that could have brought much needed tax dollars and employment oppo...

Abandoned Louisiana - The Old Hightower Family Home in Dodson

I have to admit that I have been hanging on to these photos for a couple of months now just looking for the right minute to post them. Back in November I was traveling up to El Dorado, Arkansas and I passed through the small town of Dodson. While driving through town my eyes spotted a very attractive old house up on a hill and I just had to stop and take a few photos of it. I honestly don't know the history of this house, but I'm sure some local will send me message telling me all about it (and someone did see the UPDATE ), and it's not as cool as an abandoned railroad locomotive or old movie house but it really spoke to me. I have to wonder about the people who used to live in it and how it ended up in the state it is now. Anyone can see that it was a beautiful house long ago. What happened? How did such a grand residence end up like this? Those are questions that I can't answer unfortunately.  Unfortunately a site like this isn't all that uncommon here in Louisian...
