John and Ken Talk About The Impact Of The Border Crisis On California

I wanted to share this episode of the John and Ken Show Podcast that I listened to yesterday. Over the past decade the program has been very informative and has covered the flow of illegal immigrants into United States by talking to border patrol agents. These in depth interviews have revealed the true story of what goes on at the US / Mexico border and they were way ahead of stories that are just beginning to be talked about and have been mostly ignored by main stream media outlets.

The episode focused on how the Biden administration is going to lease the Pomona Fairplex and turn it into a facility to house teenage migrants. The plan is to use the facility as a holding area for the teens while they wait for blood relatives, sponsors or foster families. 

The hosts bring into question on just how the facility will be run and bring into question the claim that anyone who wants to claim on of these young immigrants will be thoroughly vetted before they will be released into their custody. A point in which I agree. It would be impossible to due a thorough check on literally thousands of  people. There just simply isn't the resources, time or manpower to get it done effectively. There is growing pressure to get people in and out of these facilities quickly due to the numbers of new immigrants arriving daily. 

The fear is that these youngsters will end up in the hands of sex traffickers or in other abusive situations due to a lack of a proper screening process.

The failure of the present administration to build on the mostly effective policies of the prior administration and basically declare the border open has created a crisis that seems to have no end. At present it seems to be policy to ignore what is actually going on.
