It's an amazing blessing to be part of a great church family.
Easter Sunday was an awesome experience at Journey Church. From the songs that were sung by the praise team, who really gave one of the most spirit filled performances I've ever heard, to the message Pastor James preached about the sacrifice Jesus made for us all, it was a truly special event.
It was an honor to serve on such a Sunday as part of the host team. Turnout for all three services was just amazing. According to the numbers the church as a whole set new attendance records. We reached max capacity for the 10 am service and we had to ask late arrivals to wait for the 11:30 service because we literally couldn't fit in another single soul in the sanctuary.
Here is Pastor James preaching on With Jesus, It's a Win Win:
Here are the sermon notes:
We can’t lose.
Whatever we are going through, we know it will turn out for our deliverance and our good. (Philippians 1:19-21, NKJV) We can live on a day-to-day basis expecting deliverance. (Philippians 1:20, NKJV) Because of what Jesus did for you and me, it’s a win-win. (Philippians 1:21, NKJV)
Why losers lose: (Matthew 27:62, NKJV)
What the spiritual and political leaders believed about Jesus is really what they don’t believe about Jesus. Many leaders want to think Jesus is a deceiver instead of a deliverer. The truth is that they are the deceivers and Jesus is the deliverer. (Matthew 27:63-66, NKJV)
Everything Jesus said while He was alive, came true. (Matthew 27:64, NKJV)
Losers believe they can stop or control what Jesus does and does not do. Losers will not allow Jesus to forgive them of their sins, guilt, shame, and fears. Losers try to get their security in things other than Jesus and who they are in Christ. (Matthew 27:65-66, NKJV) Security and worth come from the inside out, not from the outside in.
We win! (Matthew 28:1-6, NKJV)
We will win because Jesus is risen! (Matthew 28:6, NKJV) Sin never had power over Jesus. (Romans 6:8-10, NIV)
Once we ask Jesus into our heart as Savior and Lord, our sins are forgiven once and for all!
