 It's Halloween se the wife and I decided to prowl around the spookiest house in our neighborhood. In every town there is always a creepy old abandoned house that the locals claim to be haunted. Unfortunately here in Central Louisiana there are far more houses like this then one person could count. Hard economic conditions have turned most of the smaller towns here in the Pelican State into near ghost towns.  I'm not going to go out on a limb and make any claim to whether this house is indeed haunted or not. On a night like this it really didn't matter because the wife and I decided to play Scooby-Doo and explore around the property. Unfortunately (or probably fortunately) we didn't discover an old ship captain in a swamp creature costume or anything like that.  What we have here is just another old house here in Lecompte that has been abandoned and is starting to fall apart and is being quickly reclaimed by the local vegetation.
