"Ladies and gentleman, welcome to violence ..."
I decided to begin this article with the opening line from the 1965 cult film, Faster Pussycat! Kill! Kill!, produced by the infamous Russ Meyer. For as so much as those words set the tone for the sadistic exploits of three go-go dancers running wild in the desert, it also sets the tone for the exploits of Daffy Duck and his sadistic game show, Truth or AAAHHH!
Alas, poor Porky Pig has managed to get himself onto a radio quiz show where it is literally Truth or Consequences. Everything is stacked against Porky, the questions are so obscure that a history professor couldn't make an educated guess at the answers, even if he begins to answer a question, Daffy calls time up and wallops him.
Finally, when Porky becomes completely manic, Daffy turns into a coward and surrenders the prize money, which is exactly the amount of money that Porky needs to buy the radio station and turn the tide on the now helpless mallard.
All of this mayhem came from the kings of cartoon slapstick, writer Michael Maltese and director Chuck Jones who worked together on such animated classics as Rabbit of Seville, Rabbit Fire, Duck Amuck and Duck! Rabbit, Duck!
