It’s All About the Heart

God wants to change hard and hopeless hearts. (Ezekiel 36:25-28, NKJV)

God wants to give us a fresh spirit by taking the stony, hard heart and giving you one that will walk with Him, that will be tender, forgiving, and loving. Regain hope by being willing to allow God to change your heart.

How to go from being hopeless to having great hope. (Ezekiel 37:1-10, NKJV)

Bones is a type of the most hopeless situations you could ever find. What is dried up in your life? Can your hopeless situation change? The Lord knows, and He knows it can!

Believe God can change any situation.

It’s important for dry bones to hear the Word. God’s Word is the beginning of changing any situation. B.O. = power, peace, and provisions. God can bring life out of the most hopeless, helpless, and dead situations. (Romans 4:17, NCV)

Obedience activates favor and the power of God.

Don’t stop before the miracle and don’t give up in the midst of it. Breathe in and breathe out, let it go and let God handle it. Only God and His Word can bring life out of death.

Hear the Word + Speak the Word + Breathe the Word + Have faith in the Word = Life from the Word. (Romans 4:17, NCV; Romans 5:5, NLT)

God Has a Plan

Faith in God is a profound and unyielding trust in the divine will and the unfathomable design of the universe. It's the belief that despite the challenges and uncertainties life presents, there is a higher power orchestrating the larger tapestry of existence. This kind of faith is not just about believing in God's existence but trusting in His wisdom, timing, and purpose. It is about surrendering to the idea that even when things seem insurmountable, God has a plan and His intentions are always for our ultimate good.

The teachings of Mark 11:22 call on believers to have unwavering faith, especially in times of adversity. When faced with doubts, fears, or seemingly insurmountable obstacles, believers are encouraged to lean on their faith, recognizing that with God, all things are possible. This is not a call for passive resignation, but rather an active trust that invites believers to partner with the divine, acknowledge the vastness of God's power, and understand that our human perspective is limited. In doing so, believers can find strength, resilience, and hope, knowing that they are held within the comforting embrace of a loving God.

Having faith in God also shapes how we interact with the world around us. It provides a foundation of hope, guiding us to act with kindness, compassion, and love. It instills a sense of purpose, anchoring us during times of tumult and ensuring that we remain grounded in our convictions. Through faith, we learn to see challenges not as deterrents but as opportunities for growth and deeper understanding. We learn that every trial has a purpose, and through unwavering trust in God, we can navigate life's complexities with grace, wisdom, and an enduring spirit.

Just a thought,

Forever is Only Forever Until God Shows Up

When Elisha the man of God heard that the king of Israel had torn his robes, he sent him this message: “Why have you torn your robes? Have the man come to me and he will know that there is a prophet in Israel.” 9 So Naaman went with his horses and chariots and stopped at the door of Elisha’s house. 10 Elisha sent a messenger to say to him, “Go, wash yourself seven times in the Jordan, and your flesh will be restored and you will be cleansed.” - READ MORE

Thoughts For Today - On the Road to Las Vegas

Over the past few years the Lord has taught me a great deal about blessings and being grateful for them. The reason that He didn't provide me an Olympic-size pool of gold is because He knew that I wasn't mature enough to handle it. I actually shudder to think of the carnage this cowboy would have caused if I had heaping handfuls of cash on hand. - READ MORE

Everyday We Should Proclaim - This is the day which the LORD has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it!

I stopped to admire a fountain in Veterans Memorial Park thinking that perhaps the sound of the running water would bring some peace to my restless soul. I leaned over and stared into the water. The crystal clear liquid rushing over the stones beneath reminded me of the mountain rivers that I once enjoyed when I lived in the Southwest. I couldn't help but be reminded of how the blood of Jesus has washed away my sins like the symbolic way river water is purified by the rocks and stones it travels over. - READ MORE

Abandoned Louisiana - The Pirate's Cove Water Park / Resort in Iowa

About ten minutes east of the city of Lake Charles are the remains of an abandoned water park . The decaying structures are clearly visible from the busy I-10 freeway and for years drivers have wondered about it's history and why it was left for dead.   The Pirate's Cove Water Park actually has a rather interesting story behind it. A story that has been repeated over and over again, unfortunately, here in Louisiana. It's just another example of how government bureaucracy in this state killed an enterprise before it could ever get off the ground. Construction on the park began in 2008 and it was scheduled to open sometime in 2010. The sprawling complex was envisioned as an oasis from the hot summer heat that would feature luxurious amenities like a 900 foot long lazy river, a giant splash pad for the kids and eventually a five star hotel. The Pirate's Cove would have been an obvious tourist destination that could have brought much needed tax dollars and employment oppo...

Abandoned Louisiana - The Old Hightower Family Home in Dodson

I have to admit that I have been hanging on to these photos for a couple of months now just looking for the right minute to post them. Back in November I was traveling up to El Dorado, Arkansas and I passed through the small town of Dodson. While driving through town my eyes spotted a very attractive old house up on a hill and I just had to stop and take a few photos of it. I honestly don't know the history of this house, but I'm sure some local will send me message telling me all about it (and someone did see the UPDATE ), and it's not as cool as an abandoned railroad locomotive or old movie house but it really spoke to me. I have to wonder about the people who used to live in it and how it ended up in the state it is now. Anyone can see that it was a beautiful house long ago. What happened? How did such a grand residence end up like this? Those are questions that I can't answer unfortunately.  Unfortunately a site like this isn't all that uncommon here in Louisian...
