Locals in central Japan near Mount Fuji count on UFO craze for tourism
Local residents in Yamanashi Prefecture, at the foot of Mount Fuji, are striving to make their city Kofu a tourist magnet with extraterrestrial help from an alien.
Next year marks the 50th anniversary of an incident in which two elementary school children claimed to have encountered unidentified flying objects and an alien. It is dubbed one of "three major UFO incidents" reported in Japan.
The alleged incident dates back to Feb 23, 1975, when two boys playing near a vineyard in Kofu saw what they described as two saucer-shaped UFOs flashing in orange at around 6:30 p.m. They said a 120- to 130-centimeter tall alien with a big head, long ears and three fangs then descended, according to Tokutake. The alien reportedly had a brown face with no eyes or nose.
From the emblem on that aliens suite I can only deduce that he's from the Intergalactic Taco Alliance, which is something I can really get into. He also apparently digs Earth chicks. Sounds like my kind of interplanetary tourism!
But enough with that, the state of Illinois is trying to bribe me to move there ...
ILLINOIS (KTVI) — At least three cities in Illinois are offering to pay people thousands of dollars to move there. Under certain conditions, of course.
These opportunities come as the state of Illinois has lost around 240,000 people since the turn to the 2020s, according to new Census figures released this week. It’s not necessarily a cause-and-effect trend, but rather a coincidence of some new local incentives.
For three cities openly offering incentives, their populations are rather small – all under 20,000 residents – compared to the rest of the state. Financial experts say offering some assistance could help the cities with population stability, economic growth, and improving neighborhoods in the long-term.

Here is a bit of wisdom about life here in the South ...
Now here's something weird ...
'Sasquatch Sunset' is so relentlessly gross that people are walking out of screenings. Star Jesse Eisenberg says the film was a ‘labor of love.’
Early screenings of the movie Sasquatch Sunset made headlines for sending dozens of theatergoers fleeing for the exit during scenes with graphic depictions of every possible bodily function. Those scenes are relentless throughout its 90-minute runtime.
Jesse Eisenberg, one of the film’s stars and producers, told Yahoo Entertainment he’s been more focused on the response he’s gotten from most viewers — that the film was a “life-changing visual experience.”
Eisenberg is one of four members of a nomadic cryptid family in Sasquatch Sunset, along with Riley Keough, Christophe Zajac-Denek and Nathan Zellner, who also co-directs with brother David Zellner. They go about their daily lives, hunting, gathering, excreting, mating and exploring the world around them with unbridled frankness. It will have its national theatrical release on April 19.
You know, I think that I will have a wonderful and fulfilling life without having to see Bigfoot getting it on and going number two.
How about something to eat!
A BBQ LOVER'S GUIDE TO TEXAS BBQ
As a Kansas Citian, I like to consider myself somewhat of a BBQ connoisseur — a friend to all things charred, sauced and smoky. Someone who loves a thick cut of fatty brisket and slow-smoked rack of ribs. I can get down with BBQ whether it’s sauced, dry rubbed or somewhere in between.
Hence, the reason why I had to partake in National BBQ Month — not in Kansas City, but 800+ miles away to the south in the great state of Texas. For three days, I immersed myself in what the state had to offer and have composed a bit of a guide for anyone looking to follow in my footsteps.
After arriving in San Antonio, I recommend working up an appetite by strolling the River Walk, Paseo del Rio, a world-renowned 15-mile urban waterway tucked quietly below street level. It’s a one-of-a-kind experience and happens to be the largest urban ecosystem in the nation. Situated along the River Walk are local shops, bars and restaurants to keep you entertained as you peruse this Texan treasure.
And now Wonder Woman on a skateboard for some reason.
To be fair, it could have been a video of Lynda Carter as Wonder Woman watering her plants and I would have watched it.
Hey this looks kinda cool!
ULTRAMAN: RISING debuts June 14, only on Netflix.
Now I have to figure out how to get my granddaughter to watch that with me.
I know that you have been worried, but apparently the Loch Ness Monster is alive and well.
U.K. tabloids and Loch Ness monster believers are abuzz after an expat Canadian couple photographed what some say could be the legendary water creature.
Parry Malm and Shannon Wiseman aren't fully convinced themselves, but say they are coming around to the idea — particularly if it keeps their kids happy.
The family, which currently lives in the English city of Wimbledon, spent Easter vacation sightseeing in Scotland. To prepare for the trip, they loaded up on books about the Loch Ness monster.

The family, which currently lives in the English city of Wimbledon, spent Easter vacation sightseeing in Scotland. To prepare for the trip, they loaded up on books about the Loch Ness monster.
While staying in a nearby cabin on a cold, blustery day in early April, the couple decided to visit a body of water where the sea creature is rumoured to live.
And that's when they saw something moving through the waves.
Tabloids, that's where the REAL news is!
Oh, yeah, that's a really bad portrait.
Australia’s richest woman has demanded that a gallery remove a portrait that depicts her with a large double chin.
Gina Rinehart, a mining billionaire, has asked the National Gallery of Australia to remove a painting of her by Vincent Namatjira, an award-winning Aboriginal artist.
The painting, which is part of an exhibition that includes portraits of Queen Elizabeth II and Julia Gillard, the former Australian prime minister, depicts Ms Rinehart in an unflattering light.
The businesswoman is a “friend” of the gallery and has previously donated between AUD $4,999 (£2,600) and $9,999. She reportedly approached Nick Mitzevich, the gallery’s director, and chairman Ryan Stokes to request that the painting be removed.

And now some Pac-Man humor from a 1983 Bloom County comic strip.
The truth is out there, and someday we all may possibly, and somewhat limitedly, know it.
The U.S. government would have 270 days to release all UFO-related documents to the public if a new congressional bill is passed.
Rep. Tim Burchett, R-Tenn., who has been a leading voice for UFO transparency, will introduce a new bill Thursday that would require President Biden to direct the heads of each federal department or agency to declassify all documents related to UAPs (unidentified anomalous phenomena), also known as UFOs.
"It's simple. They spend all this time telling us they don't exist, then release the files, dagnabbit," Burchet told Fox News Digital in an interview, before introducing the "The UAP Transparency Act" on Thursday.
That dude is wasting his time, the Reptilians will never let that stuff get out.
This weeks winning lottery numbers are 05 23 17 44 56 01 ... they didn't work for me, maybe they will work for you.
I want to leave you with these words to ponder over the next week:

Well duh Einstein!
