In a bizarre and imaginative mash-up that could only come from the creative minds of Japanese filmmakers, students at Bunkyo Gakuin University's Kuno Laboratory have unleashed a cinematic monstrosity upon the world. Their latest film, titled "Valid Man," features a truly outlandish premise - a colossal, fire-breathing rooster has risen from the grave with a singular mission: to annihilate an ancient race of werewolves. As if that wasn't wild enough, the unlikely hero tasked with saving humanity from this feathered, flame-spewing fiend is a meek, bespectacled schoolgirl with the ability to transform into a towering superhero. This utterly bonkers blend of horror, fantasy, and absurdist humor showcases the unrestrained imagination and audacity of these young filmmakers, who clearly have no qualms about pushing the boundaries of the genre to their breaking point. One can only wonder what sort of fever dream-induced brainstorming session spawned such a preposterous concept, but the result is undeniably entertaining, leaving audiences equal parts baffled and enthralled by the sheer audacity of this avian apocalypse.
Scratching your head, are we? Fret not, dear friend - the film's synopsis should have you back on track in no time.
The cast of Valid Man includes Tomokazu Sugita, Chie Koujiro, Mika Kitazawa, and Miku Togashi. The film was directed and written by Tsutomu Kuno, and produced by Takaaki Hamakawa and Ryoya Yoshizawa. Noritaka Kobayashi served as the Special Effects Director.
The production team is currently trying to raise 1 million yen to cover the costs of distribution and publicity needed to complete production and secure a theatrical release.

On the day of her father's cremation, a young girl named Miku dons a costume called Kattan and wanders around Bunkyo Ward for her part-time job. However, the Kattan costume conceals an ancient being from the lost continent of Mu. Kattan senses that the fearsome beast Typhoon, which once destroyed the Mu clan, is about to break free from its seal. Kattan begs Miku to become the warrior Valid Man to fight against Typhoon. The plot and characters may not be the focus here, but this movie certainly delivers the thrills. It's all about people frantically fleeing as skyscrapers crumble around them, while a colossal rooster battles an equally massive werewolf and some sort of Ultraman knockoff. Explosions, lasers, and monster-on-monster carnage abound - it's like a pro wrestling match erupted at a KISS concert. This isn't highbrow cinema, but for fans of Japanese kaiju (giant monster) flicks, it's the kind of gleefully over-the-top entertainment that taps into our inner child's love of big, bombastic spectacle.
As Miku navigates university life alongside Kattan's fellow monster companions, they are systematically defeated by a mysterious enemy. Miku and Kattan rise up to confront this threat. The dreaded Typhoon looms, on the verge of revival. In a desperate attempt to avenge his sister's death, the giant Kattan engages Typhoon in a colossal battle, but is ultimately overwhelmed.
At the last moment, Miku receives a miraculous power that allows her to transform into the towering hero Valid Man. She rushes into the final battle to stop Typhoon's revival and save the day!
