There were two powerful speeches last night at the Republican National Convention that really stood out. The first was by Kim Klacik who is running for Maryland's 7th Congressional District:
Kimberly Klacik is a wife, mother, nonprofit founder and currently elected to the Baltimore County Republican Central Committee.
Mrs. Klacik grew up in Accokeek, Maryland, once known as the home of the Beretta Gun Manufacturer. In 2010, she moved to Baltimore once becoming engaged to her husband.
In 2013, Kimberly founded “Potential Me” to assist under served women with workforce development. Assisting close to 200 women become gainfully employed, 30% went on to obtain financial independence. As the nonprofit grew, she employed women reentering society and quickly found out what it took to manage payroll and helping families thrive with opportunities she helps create.
The second was by attorney Kimberly Guilfoyle:
Kimberly Ann Guilfoyle (born March 9, 1969) is an American attorney, prosecutor, and television news personality who co-hosted The Five on Fox News. Guilfoyle was a prosecuting attorney in San Francisco and Los Angeles, California. She served as an Assistant District Attorney in San Francisco from 2000 to 2004.
Guilfoyle graduated magna cum laude from the University of California, Davis, and received her Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the University of San Francisco School of Law in 1994. While in law school, she interned at the San Francisco district attorney's office, as well as doing modeling work for Macy's and Victoria's Secret.
She later studied at Trinity College, Dublin in Ireland. While there, she published research in international children's rights and European Economic Community law.
