What I Like About The Los Angeles Rams Draft - Kyren Williams RB From Notre Dame

Pretty much everyone on the planet knew that Les Snead and Sean McVay of the Los Angeles Rams were going to pull the trigger on a running back sometime during the 2022 NFL Draft. With the selection of  Kyren Williams out of Notre Dame this year it has been six straight years that the Rams have drafted a runner. It all started back in 2017, McVay's first year as coach, when the team selected Sam Rogers (6th Round, FB, Virginia Tech). In 2018 it was John Kelly out of Tennessee followed by Darrell Henderson out of Memphis in 2019. In 2020 Cam Akers came aboard and then Jake Funk was a seventh round selection last year. That's a lot of draft capitol invested on players to carry the rock on the ground by one team. You actually can't blame the Rams for wanting to hedge their bets at the running back position in 2022 by selecting Williams. Of the three rushers mentioned above that are still on the team Henderson is an injury prone change of pace back, the team really doesn't ...

Blue Fireball Streaks Across The Sky Above Three Southern States

From CBS News A loud boom prefaced a streaking fireball spotted in three Southern states, scientists confirmed Thursday. More than 30 people in Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi reported seeing the exceptionally bright meteor in the sky around 8 a.m. Wednesday after hearing loud booms in Claiborne County, Mississippi, and surrounding areas, NASA reported . It was first spotted 54 miles above the Mississippi River, near Alcorn, Mississippi, officials said. "This is one of the nicer events I have seen in the GLM (Geostationary Lightning Mappers) data," said Bill Cooke, lead of NASA's Meteoroid Environments Office at Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama. The Mississippi Emergency Management Agency posted a satellite image on Facebook along with NASA's confirmation. The agency said that the fireball caused no injuries or property damage and that it ran parallel to the Mississippi River. READ MORE Check Out: m Are You Ready For The Horror Of Octopuses ...

A Japanese Man Actually Married A Hatsune Miku Hologram

It would be really easy to make fun of someone who actually married a hologram of a popular anime character, but instead I feel compassion for someone who suffers from mental illness, extreme social anxiety and an obsession with a fictional female character. I also find it both sad and fascinating that he isn't alone and there is group of people who consider themselves as fictosexual, that is people who have relationships with characters from books, movies, comics and other forms of media.  ‘Fictosexual’ Man Who Married 16-Year-Old Hologram Can’t Communicate With Her After Software Support Eliminated From the Daily Wire A “fictosexual” man can no longer communicate with his “wife” of four years. Akihiko Kondo, a 38-year-old Japanese man, wed a holographic image of the blue-haired anime character Hatsune Miku in 2018. The character is described as 16 years old, the New York Post reported . Kondo fell in love with the character in 2008 after he became ostracized from his peers...

Tipping Point New Mexico - Michelle Garcia Holmes – Candidate for U.S. Congress – New Mexico Congressional District 1

In the second of what will be a handful of “special” episodes of Tipping Point NM, Paul sits down with congressional candidate Michelle Garcia Holmes . Michelle is a Republican former Albuquerque Police Department officer running in New Mexico’s revised 1st District with a primary battle to be decided by voters on June 7. Based on recently redrawn maps, this district could be highly competitive for Republicans looking to unseat Democrat Rep. Melanie Stansbury. The Foundation has reached out to Stansbury with an invitation to sit down as well. "I have been speaking to people all across the district, safe cities, better affordable healthcare, voter integrity and higher paying jobs are what New Mexicans want. We need hardworking-common-sense leadership in Congress to get the job done. I promise to create a brighter future for all New Mexicans. I ask for your vote because it's time to get the POWER BACK TO THE PEOPLE." - Michelle Garcia Holmes With all we have been throug...

Louisiana ranked 9th worst state for taxpayers’ return on investment

From Center Square Louisiana ranks as the 42nd state overall for the return its taxpayers receive on their investment of tax dollars paid to the local and state governments, according to a new report . With Tax Day soon approaching, taxpayers may find themselves wondering how their taxes are being used by their state governments and if they are getting the appropriate “bang for their buck.” While Louisiana has some of the lowest taxes paid per capita (10th lowest), the state has the worst overall government services in the nation, according to an analysis from personal finance website Wallethub. Wallethub measures a state’s government services by analyzing the quality of its education, health, safety, economy, infrastructure and pollution. Louisiana ranks within the bottom five states for each of these categories, with safety being the lowest at 49th. "Louisiana ranks low in government services because of its low quality public university and school system, its low public high sc...

Don’t waste New Mexico’s opportunity — get rid of income tax

From The Rio Grande Foundation The following opinion piece ran in the Santa Fe New Mexican on April 22nd, 2022. The piece also ran in other newspapers throughout the state. The fundamental economic problem New Mexico faces is its unattractive business climate. Addressing the gross receipts tax and its “pyramiding” and taxation of services as business inputs has been discussed for years now, but it is time to seriously consider bolder economic reforms like reducing or even phasing out New Mexico’s personal income tax. Indeed, the personal income tax is expected to generate just over $2 billion in fiscal year 2023. That’s a lot of money, but New Mexico is in a financial position to reduce income tax rates over time. Combined with business-friendly gross receipts tax reform, modest budgetary restraint (annual spending simply can’t grow by 15 percent) and a focus on truly diversifying New Mexico’s economy could allow New Mexico to become income-tax-free. Nine states already lack an i...

Was A Baby Yeti Captured in Azerbaijan?

Okay the video I'm about to share with you is down right weird. If the video footage sent to the Cryptomundo website by Russian cryptozoologist Igor Burtsev is indeed genuine then a group of men may have captured a baby Almasty (Almas), the Soviet version of the Yeti or Abominable Snowman in the mountains of Azerbaijan. The creature in the footage is indeed alive, covered in really thick fur, has an ape-like face, large hands with dark fingernails and walks around on two legs. Check this out: Okay, I honestly don't know what that thing is. For a quick history lesson, the Almasty or Almas is essentially the Russian version of Bigfoot. The only difference is that generally the Almasty is usually described as a primitive human being. There is a famous story in Russia about a female Almasty that wandered into a town and was captured. The creature actually mated with one of the locals (no, really) and mothered several children. If that story is indeed true than the creature in quest...
