Skinwalker Ranch, also known as Sherman Ranch, sits just outside of Ballard, Utah, bordering the Ute Indian Tribe's Uintah and Ouray Reservation. For decades, the remote ranch has been the site of strange phenomena, including reports of mysterious lights in the sky, skinwalker sightings, cattle mutilations, and UFO activity. This unexplained activity has attracted worldwide attention, including that of television crews. In fact, the History Channel currently features the ranch in its popular series "The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch."
In this remote corner of the Uinta Basin, nicknamed "UFO Alley," I am likely the only observer scanning the area through my binoculars - the cow pasture, the ranch hands and researchers at the site, the supposedly haunted Homestead Two, and the ranch house itself. Despite seeing nothing unusual, the unexplainable may choose to reveal itself when you least expect it.
