Vernon, Texas will host several festive Christmas events in 2024, including a parade, a concert, and decorated streets. The highlight will be the Christmas on the Western Trail Parade on Saturday, December 14th at 6 PM. This annual parade is set to be the biggest and brightest the city has seen since the tradition began in 2006, featuring more than 40 entries. As always, the crowd-pleasing float with Santa and Mrs. Claus is sure to be a fan favorite.
Mark your calendars! On Saturday, December 14th, the City of Vernon, Texas is hosting a Christmas Concert on the same day as the annual Christmas Parade and tree lighting. Come on out to the Wright Pavilion that day to enjoy festive music with a Christmas twist, performed by the band Southern Weather.
Tis the season for The Christmas Lanes! Since 2022, neighbors and friends have come together to create wonderful holiday themes for their streets. This collaborative effort has sparked special memories and bonding opportunities. Grab a hot cocoa and get into the Christmas spirit! Copies of the street list will be available at City Hall, and an updated version will be posted on the City of Vernon Facebook page.
