Actress Profile: Gal Gadot

From Warner Bros

GAL GADOT (Diana Prince) is rapidly emerging as one of Hollywood’s most engaging and sought-after talents. She debuted as Diana/Wonder Woman in the blockbuster “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” and in 2017, she starred again in the role in the first-ever “Wonder Woman” feature, which was the highest grossing film of the season, taking in more than $822 million worldwide.

For her role as Diana/Wonder Woman, she won the Rising Star Award at the Palm Springs International Film Festival and the 2018 #SeeHer Award at the Broadcast Film Critics Association Awards. She also won the 2018 MTV Movie + TV Award for Best Fight and the 2017 Teen Choice Award for Choice Movie Actress: Action. “Wonder Woman” was honored with the spotlight award at the 2017 National Board of Review.

It was recently announced that Gadot will star as Cleopatra in an upcoming film produced by Charles Roven, Patty Jenkins, Jaron Varsano and Gadot. She will next star in the remake of “Death on the Nile,” alongside Kenneth Branagh. The film is set to release in 2021.

Gadot recently wrapped production on the Netflix action thriller “Red Notice,” in which she stars opposite Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Ryan Reynolds. She is set to produce “My Dearest Fidel,” alongside Sue Kroll and Jaron Varsano, and is also in talks to star in the film, which follows the untold story of how ABC journalist Lisa Howard became one of Fidel Castro’s leading American confidantes. Gadot will also star in and executive produce a Showtime series based on the life and career of Hedy Lamarr.

In 2019, it was announced that Gadot has formed a production company, alongside her husband Jaron Varsano, titled Pilot Wave. The company will produce the historical thriller “Irena Sendler,” in which Gadot will star as the title character. Additionally, Pilot Wave is developing a U.S. version of the hit Israeli series “Queens,” with Endemol Shine North America. The series follows women who, after their men are murdered by a rival crime syndicate, band together to take over the family business.

Gadot’s other film credits include Shank in “Ralph Breaks the Internet”; “Justice League,” opposite Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck and Ezra Miller; Gisele in “Fast & Furious, “Fast Five,” “Fast & Furious” and “Furious 7”; John Hillcoat’s “Triple 9,” with Kate Winslet and Woody Harrelson; Ariel Vromen’s action film “Criminal,” with Ryan Reynolds, Kevin Costner and Gary Oldman; and the comedy “Keeping Up with the Joneses,” opposite Jon Hamm, Isla Fisher and Zach Galifianakis.

Abandoned Louisiana - The Pirate's Cove Water Park / Resort in Iowa

About ten minutes east of the city of Lake Charles are the remains of an abandoned water park . The decaying structures are clearly visible from the busy I-10 freeway and for years drivers have wondered about it's history and why it was left for dead.   The Pirate's Cove Water Park actually has a rather interesting story behind it. A story that has been repeated over and over again, unfortunately, here in Louisiana. It's just another example of how government bureaucracy in this state killed an enterprise before it could ever get off the ground. Construction on the park began in 2008 and it was scheduled to open sometime in 2010. The sprawling complex was envisioned as an oasis from the hot summer heat that would feature luxurious amenities like a 900 foot long lazy river, a giant splash pad for the kids and eventually a five star hotel. The Pirate's Cove would have been an obvious tourist destination that could have brought much needed tax dollars and employment oppo...

The Force in Star Wars | May the 4th Be With You | Miracle Mindset

The Force in the Star Wars universe bears many striking similarities to spiritual concepts found in Christianity. Much like how Christians believe in an all-encompassing, omnipresent God, the Force is described as an energy field created by all living things that surrounds and penetrates living beings and binds the galaxy together. There is a light and dark side to the Force, mirroring the battle between good and evil, angels and demons in Christian theology. The path of the Jedi, who align with the light side of the Force, is one of self-sacrifice, discipline, and overcoming temptation - very much like the Christian walk of faith. The Jedi are guided by the Force just as Christians are led by the Holy Spirit. And in the same way that Jesus' ultimate sacrifice defeated sin and death and offers salvation to mankind, the heroic sacrifices of Jedi like Obi-Wan Kenobi and Luke Skywalker bring hope and turn the tide against the evil Empire. The Star Wars saga is a timeless story of goo...
