Attention all Amtrak Pacific Surfliner passengers! We want to make you aware of an important travel advisory that may impact your upcoming trips. The train tracks in San Clemente are currently closed for approximately six weeks to allow for critical coastal resiliency construction work to be completed. This project, which kicked off on April 28th, is being undertaken by the Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) and Metrolink to stabilize sections of the track that have been threatened by coastal erosion and landslides. But don't worry - we've got you covered! During this closure period, the Pacific Surfliner will continue to operate on a modified schedule. Trains will run as usual between San Luis Obispo and San Juan Capistrano in the north, and between Oceanside and Downtown San Diego in the south. To bridge the gap, we're providing convenient bus connections between Irvine and Oceanside, ensuring you can still reach your destination. Amtrak Collector Edition Hot or Cold Stainless Steel Insulated Himalayan Tumbler - $25.99 @ Amazon.com - Order Here!
While we recognize this may cause some inconvenience, please know that this vital construction work is necessary to maintain the safety and reliability of rail operations through South Orange County for years to come. We greatly appreciate your patience and understanding during this time. As always, our top priority is providing you with a safe, comfortable and enjoyable travel experience on the Pacific Surfliner.
