Top 20 Messages Of Faith For 2021

Surfers in Oceanside, California by Ken Hulsey

20. Have you ever had to have a moment where you needed “Big Faith?”

We all have put our faith in something. You and I have faith… but what is it in? Is it in God? Is it in our spouses? Our pastors? Science? Friends? When it comes down to it, where is your faith?

19. CHRISTIANS: It’s Time To Shout! By Pastor Steve Smothermon

Last may I posted an article entitled It's Time For Christians To Join The Public Arena and in that piece I noted that it was time for Christians to stop being silent, rise into action, and speak the truth publicly about the message of Jesus Christ and the state of society as a whole. This past week Pastor Steve Smothermon of Legacy Church preached a spirit filled sermon on this very subject. In the sermon Smothermon states that the only way for the message of Christ to be heard is that it needs to be louder than the world's message of sin and self gratification which is being screamed at us every day through social media, entertainment and from the mouths of politicians.

18. Look Around You And Recognize The True Blessings In Your Life

What I've discovered through prayer and many conversations with the Lord is that it was necessary for my spiritual growth that I be relocated here. I needed to be removed from the way of life that I enjoyed so that I could focus on my faith without distractions. I know now that if I had stayed in California I would, in all likelihood, not have developed the kind of relationship I have with Jesus.

The Lord also put on my heart that I had been very ungrateful for all the blessings that He had bestowed on me over the years. Had I ever taken the time to thank him for the blessings of living near the beach, the wealth of great comics and toys He supplied, the great museums we used to enjoy, the beautiful mountains, the temperate weather, good jobs or even the quality of cable television I enjoyed?

17. What Does The Bible Say About Addiction

Any addiction, whether to alcohol, drugs, prescription medicines, pornography, gambling, cigarettes, or even food, is a form of idolatry. The first commandment is, “You shall not have any other gods before Me.” The second commandment is, “You shall not bow down to them or serve them” (see Exodus 20). When a person is addicted, they are really bowing down and serving that addiction as their god. It is the sin of idolatry. They become a slave to it and they are held in bondage. Jesus said, “Whoever commits sin is a slave of sin” (John 8:34).

16. With Jesus, It’s a Win-Win

Losers believe they can stop or control what Jesus does and does not do. Losers will not allow Jesus to forgive them of their sins, guilt, shame, and fears. Losers try to get their security in things other than Jesus and who they are in Christ. (Matthew 27:65-66, NKJV) Security and worth come from the inside out, not from the outside in.

15. Time To Dream: Trusting God To Open Doors

God gave us the capacity to dream and wants us to use it. (Genesis 1:26, NKJV, CEV) Without a dream there’s death, you’re surviving, not thriving. (Proverbs 29:18, KJV, NCV, TEV) Spiritually and emotionally living and dying greatly depends upon your dreams. To really live those dreams, you need to include Jesus. Everything starts with a dream. (Ephesians 1:18, TLB) God gives us dreams to show us what God wants to do through us.

14. Why Are Christians So Miserable? - Pastor Steven Roberts

Our church exists to help bring people far from God, close to God one step at a time. Every week, we see marriages and relationships restored, addictions overcome and lives changed in the people at Journey Church. One thing is a fact: I mess up, you mess up, WE ALL MESS UP. Don’t wait to get your life together before you come to church, come just as you are.

13. Knowledge And Wisdom Are Not The Same And The Difference Is More Than Profound

Wisdom and intellect or education are not the same. The Bible says knowledge alone puffs up, making you arrogant. Knowledge is for the head but wisdom is for the heart. Knowledge teaches you, but wisdom transforms you. Wisdom is supernatural. More than information, wisdom is application. We live in a world that is drowning in information and starving for wisdom. Proverbs 14:8 says, “The wisdom of the prudent is to understand his way….” Wisdom is understanding why you do the things you do. When you are at a loss and don’t have a clue, ask God! He is not silent. He is speaking today.

12. The Only One Standing In The Way Of Your Blessings Is You

Nothing can stop the work of God and if you need to hear His word he will make sure you here it.

11. Pastor Leanne Matthesius: You Will Be Rescued

I just wanted to quickly share this very powerful and inspiring message I watched yesterday by Pastor Leanne Matthesius of Awaken Church in San Diego. She was actually preaching this message as guest speaker at Legacy Church in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I feel that that her core message on how the church and Christians in general should be emboldened in this time of crisis in our nation.

10. One Nation Under God - One Church Under God

Scripture teaches in Amos 3:3 How can two walk together unless they be agreed? God brought people from every nation of the world to make and create America — a place that would be a beacon of light to the world that God is real and that He sent Jesus to save us; a light that other nations would envy; a light that when a nation honors God, He will cause it, them to prosper; a nation like no other nation; one nation under God; “one nation.”

9. You Can't Do Life Alone

After everything that my family has experienced over the past two months something has become crystal clear. You can't navigate life's problems, be them tiny or gigantic, without a relationship with Jesus. I'm not talking about a casual prayer now and then but an actual relationship in which you communicate with, and are open to receiving communication from, our savior.

8. No Matter What Your Parents Said - You Are Not An Accident

Did your parents ever tell you that you were an accident, that they didn't plan to have you? Many people live with a misconception that they are alive due to some sort of error that their lives have no real purpose. If we take a look at scripture we will discover that the exact opposite is true.

7. Joseph And His Amazing Transcontinental Dreamcoat

I intended to post this message on Sunday morning before church, but something told me not to. All week I had been listening to sermons from different pastors from different parts of the country. I was amazed that there was a common theme in just about every single message, the story of Joseph from the Old Testament. I felt it was important to share those sermons simply on the amazing fact that, like I mentioned, there were pastors from all over the country preaching about Joseph. It was obvious that God was speaking this message directly to me and I knew that there had to be others that would be blessed by hearing it.

6. We Often Times Take The Basic Things In Life For Granted

It has become very apparent to me that the Lord has taken full advantage of my life here in Louisiana to teach a lot about my life and my faith. To be honest life down here in the South can be hard at times and through those hard times I have learned to trust in God and to remember just how great a blessing some of the most mundane things that we count on every day actually are.

5. It's Time For Christians To Join The Public Arena

Over the past couple of weeks I have heard a message being preached from several different pulpits, articles and even songs. This message is that it is time for Christians to stop being silent, rise into action, and speak the truth publicly about the message of Jesus Christ and the state of society as a whole.

4. The Light Increases Our Joy by Reducing Our Darkness - Pastor James W. Greer

If you want to enjoy the Light, you have to understand who He is. He is the Light of the world. God loves us so much, that He sent His Son to bring light to the world. It is God’s will to bring heaven to earth in your life through Jesus. (Matthew 6:10, NKJV.)

3. Gratitude, Generosity and A Wonderful Life

In this season for giving and sharing it is indeed important to give thanks to God for the blessings He has imparted on each and every one of us. But, I believe that we should take the time to reflect on these blessings and search our souls to make sure that we are truly grateful to God for what He, through His grace, provides. The Lord has made it a priority for me to learn just what being grateful truly means. We have to learn and understand that everything we either own or simply enjoy comes from grace. If we don't express genuine gratitude to the source of all these things (Jesus) they may be removed from our lives just as easily as they have been added. As in my case the removal of such items lead to the realization that I was never truly grateful for them. I now have a different perspective on life and my relationship with Jesus. If you open your heart and mind the Almighty Teacher will indeed teach you many things about yourself that you never understood before.

2. Charlie Kirk Talks About The Future Of America

There are three different types of churches right now. The courageous church, the scared and complacent church, and the complicit church. As the Body of Christ, we are these churches— so it's time to decide. Which are we going to be?

1. Legacy Church Standing Up For Christ In The Face Of Political Backlash

This bold move in opposition of the relentless pressure to conform to mandated statutes designed to silence the church in the guise of protecting public health echoes a message that God has put front and center in my life over the past week. I feel that Jesus is calling His followers to stand up for His ministry despite growing persecution to the faith at all levels. The message of Courage has been the underlying theme of several sermons I have heard lately not only by Smotherman but also pastor James Greer here at Journey Church in Louisiana. I feel that this message is coming from multiple pastors for a reason, God is speaking and we as followers of Christ need to hear this message and prepare ourselves for a time that is coming very rapidly where we will have to follow Smotherman's example and choose to stand for Christ when there will be growing pressure to submit to worldly authority.

Abandoned Louisiana - The Pirate's Cove Water Park / Resort in Iowa

About ten minutes east of the city of Lake Charles are the remains of an abandoned water park . The decaying structures are clearly visible from the busy I-10 freeway and for years drivers have wondered about it's history and why it was left for dead.   The Pirate's Cove Water Park actually has a rather interesting story behind it. A story that has been repeated over and over again, unfortunately, here in Louisiana. It's just another example of how government bureaucracy in this state killed an enterprise before it could ever get off the ground. Construction on the park began in 2008 and it was scheduled to open sometime in 2010. The sprawling complex was envisioned as an oasis from the hot summer heat that would feature luxurious amenities like a 900 foot long lazy river, a giant splash pad for the kids and eventually a five star hotel. The Pirate's Cove would have been an obvious tourist destination that could have brought much needed tax dollars and employment oppo...

The Force in Star Wars | May the 4th Be With You | Miracle Mindset

The Force in the Star Wars universe bears many striking similarities to spiritual concepts found in Christianity. Much like how Christians believe in an all-encompassing, omnipresent God, the Force is described as an energy field created by all living things that surrounds and penetrates living beings and binds the galaxy together. There is a light and dark side to the Force, mirroring the battle between good and evil, angels and demons in Christian theology. The path of the Jedi, who align with the light side of the Force, is one of self-sacrifice, discipline, and overcoming temptation - very much like the Christian walk of faith. The Jedi are guided by the Force just as Christians are led by the Holy Spirit. And in the same way that Jesus' ultimate sacrifice defeated sin and death and offers salvation to mankind, the heroic sacrifices of Jedi like Obi-Wan Kenobi and Luke Skywalker bring hope and turn the tide against the evil Empire. The Star Wars saga is a timeless story of goo...
