Encountering God | Pastor Tiffany Gaudin | Victorville First Assembly of God

Romans 6:1-4 Well then, should we keep on sinning so that God can show us more and more of his wonderful grace? Of course not! Since we have died to sin, how can we continue to live in it? Or have you forgotten that when we were joined with Christ Jesus in baptism, we joined him in his death? For we died and were buried with Christ by baptism. And just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious power of the Father, now we also may live new lives. (NLT)

Louisiana Through My Lens | A Summer Afternoon On The South Shore of Lake Pontchartrain

Last week I decided to pull off the highway on my trip from New Orleans to Slidell and check out the south shore area of Lake Pontchartrain. Right before you enter the Twin Span Bridge that crosses the lake there is an opportunity to exit onto Highway 11 in an area known as Irish Bayou. The area is populated by a lot of fishing camps, most of them abandoned, and relics of old docks. The area reminded me a lot of the Salton Sea area of Southern California with its old boats and abandoned buildings. You could tell that the area was once prosperous, but decades of hurricanes and storms had left the area broken a battered. There are a few hearty souls still holding on, but once they are gone, I doubt that anyone would want to settle here.

Wonder Woman Rodeo | What Makes Wonder Woman A Different Kind Of Superhero? | Who Is Wonder Woman's Greatest All-Time Enemy?

Wonder Woman by Heath Jet  I'm going to state it right now, I am a huge Wonder Woman fan. I love everything from the classic comic books from the 40s, to the classic tv series staring Lynda Carter , and especially the modern movie incarnation starring Gal Gadot . So tonight I decided to do a little piece on Diana Price, I did a Google search I found two interesting items. The first was the amazing artwork above by the artist Heath Jet, which I would frame and hang in my man cave. A the second little tid-bit is an interesting article on Screen Rant by  Joe Anthony Myrick  who interviewed Wonder Woman comic book writer Tom King, who talked about what made her a different kind of superhero from both Superman and Batman .

From FOX News: A missing woman was found eaten alive by a massive python after locals cut her body out of the snake in Indonesia . Farida, 45, went missing on Thursday night. Her body was discovered inside the reticulated python Friday by her husband and residents of Kalempang village in South Sulawesi province, a local official said, according to AFP. The search for the missing mother of four began after she failed to return home Thursday night, village chief Suardi Rosi told AFP. Her husband "found her belongings… which made him suspicious. The villagers then searched the area. They soon spotted a python with a large belly," Suardi said. "They agreed to cut open the python's stomach. As soon as they did, Farida's head was immediately visible."

Anaheim Ducks and Los Angeles Kings are Returning to the 90s with New Retro Inspired Uniforms

The Anaheim Ducks are reportedly ditching what are widely considered one of the worst uniforms in the NHL for a new retro look that harkens back to 'The Mighty Ducks' look from the 1990s. The new logo is reportedly a modern take on the original, while the uniforms will shy away from the original team colors and be predominately orange with black and gold accents. One can only assume that these new unis will look a lot like the 30th anniversary alternate uniforms the team wore last season.

Louisiana Through My Lens - Trains Around The Pelican State - Spring 2024 Edition

Living in Louisiana offers a railfan like myself so many great opportunities to photograph a great variety of different and unique trains in action due to the fact that every Class 1 Railroad in North America operates here. Over the past few months I have managed to grab and handful of train photos, most of them taken of CPKS trains in Leesville due to the fact that I have been doing a lot of work lately in the area. I honestly haven't been concentrating on taking pictures like I used to. I have been really trying to focus on taking images of cool abandoned locations and nature shots that showcase just how beautiful this state truly is. That being said, when an opportunity to get a good train shot presented itself, I took it.
