In case you hadn't noticed, the Los Angeles Rams have a very different approach to building an NFL franchise. They hired the youngest coach in history, they trade away top draft picks for players other teams no longer want with reckless abandon, they write and rewrite contracts to squeeze in top rate talent, they shuffle their roster mid season like a professional hockey team and they add more offensive weapons with glaring holes in their defense.
To many the Rams are a reckless organization that should be paying for their sins by watching their team implode. Despite all of this, it was Los Angeles that held up the Lombardi Trophy as world champions just over a month ago.
That being said it should come as no surprise that these same Rams just signed Allen Robinson, one of the league's best pass catchers, to a team that already boasts triple crown winner Cooper Kupp, Robert Woods (considered by many to be the most complete receiver in football), the up and coming Shawn Jefferson and (probably) Odell Beckham Jr. who is one of the most electrifying receivers to take the field in a decade.
When you consider that this offense is lead by quarterback Matthew Stafford and also features running backs Cam Akers and Darrell Henderson along with the underrated tight end Tyler Higbee in addition to this potential group of receivers would (on paper at least) be more than any defense would ever hope to contain.
If the point of a football game is to score more points than your opponent then the 2022 Los Angeles Rams should be able to do that week in and week out.
Robinson is set to join a Rams wide receiver room that currently includes Cooper Kupp, Robert Woods, Van Jefferson, Ben Skowronek, Tutu Atwell, Landen Akers, J.J. Koski, and Warren Jackson.
