August 29, 2010 - London Colony, United Kingdom
On the evening of Sunday, August 29th, a man in London Colney reported seeing some peculiar lights in the sky above St Albans around 10:15 pm. He observed more than 10 fast-moving objects traveling in a straight line, which he did not believe were Chinese lanterns, as they were moving at a high speed.
Around the same time, Rob Stichbury, who lives in the Roundwood Park area of Harpenden, saw a similar bright object moving extremely fast from the direction of St Albans/Redbourn. Stichbury said the object seemed to be following the path of the Nicky Line and disappeared towards Luton Airport in less than 15 seconds, noting it was too large, bright, and fast-moving to be a commercial plane.
Additionally, Ken Collins of Salisbury Avenue also reported seeing something strange in the sky that night, traveling faster than aircraft towards Clarence Park. And Liz Gurgur, from the Marshalswick area, said she saw the same type of lights in a straight, evenly-spaced line earlier that summer while driving home one night. Gurgur was surprised, as she had previously laughed at a TV program that predicted an increase in UFO sightings.
Overall, multiple witnesses in the St Albans and Harpenden areas reported seeing fast-moving, unusual lights in the sky on the evening of August 29th, which they could not easily explain as conventional aircraft or objects.

September 13, 2010 - Oregon
The witness described the light as "circular in shape and moving back and forth across the front of the craft." They compared it to the car "Kit" from the television show "Knight Rider," except the light was white and round. The most incredible part, the witness stated, was that "the light seemed to help determine the direction the craft would head." The light stopped pacing back and forth and remained fixed on one end for about 20 seconds. Then the craft started heading in the direction the light was facing, before stopping and tilting forward "as if the lights were this craft's eyes."
As the craft moved closer, the witness was able to observe it more closely. "As it drew near (roughly 100 yards away), I could see the underneath of the craft. It seemed to have a triangular shape but rounded - basically there seemed to be no straight lines. The craft was also a silver color and absolutely had no visible means of propulsion. I didn't see any propellers or jet engines."
The witness then nearly lost control of the scooter while attempting to watch the object, and looked away for 30 to 45 seconds. When the witness looked back, the object was gone.
September 15, 2010 - Pandora, Texas
On September 15, 2010, a Texas father and son had an up-close encounter with a triangle-shaped UFO while driving along Route 87/97 outside of Pandora after 8:30 p.m. This sighting was reported in the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness database.
The two were out searching for more witnesses to a UFO they had spotted the previous day, September 14, 2010, which the UFO Examiner had covered in an article titled "Wingless, burning object falls from cloud near La Vernia, Texas."
As they drove, the son noticed a light in the distance "zigzagging" between three stars. He asked his father to pull over, and they observed the object, which appeared to be between 1,000 and 2,000 feet off the ground. "As it moved closer to us, a few more cars and trucks passed us on the road but nobody stopped," the witness stated. "At first it was a solid light but as it flew closer I can see three separate lights in a tight triangle formation with a huge light at each corner."
November 3, 2010 - Santa Maria, California
(Eyewitness) On November 3, 2010, around 3:30 AM, I was driving northbound on Highway 101 from Santa Barbara to my home in Santa Maria. As I approached the highway leading to San Marcos Pass and Neverland Ranch, the road became pitch black. Suddenly, something in the sky to my right caught my eye - a triangular craft hovering silently just 300 feet above the ground.
I slowed down to get a better look, and the craft remained in view for about two minutes. During that time, it rotated slowly clockwise, then gradually climbed and turned to the right, becoming smaller until it disappeared from sight. The craft appeared to be somewhat transparent, with a liquid-like, rippling surface.
I was stunned by what I was witnessing and felt a chill from head to toe. This sighting of a low-flying, silent, triangular UFO was a very strange and unsettling experience.

November 7, 2010 - Centreville, Virginia
A mysterious light in the Virginia night sky has captured people's attention. Several witnesses who spotted the unusual phenomenon believe it was a UFO. "The lights were so bright at nighttime," said local resident Brian Fains. "I thought it was a UFO."
The strange blue light was seen hovering above Lee Highway in Centreville, Virginia on Wednesday evening as shoppers looked up and were left puzzled by the sight. Fains quickly pulled out his phone and recorded the erratic, glowing orb in the night sky. He reported that it remained visible for around ten minutes, steadily shining without any flashing or blinking.
"It was just a distinct blue light, it never like flashed or blinked or anything," Fains described. "It's weird. You normally see this type of stuff in movies, but just as long as we're here, I'm pretty sure there are other people or other things somewhere."
Predictably, the Israeli government is claiming the object may have been a "weather or party balloon." It's hard to believe that one of the world's most advanced air forces would mistake a common balloon for an unknown craft and open fire. This seems like an excessive use of firepower, unless of course, it was something more than a balloon - perhaps even an alien spacecraft, as the writer speculates.
Without any physical evidence to analyze, and with the Israeli government unlikely to admit downing an extraterrestrial vessel, the true nature of the unidentified object may never be known. Unless, that is, Israel has its own version of Mulder and Scully investigating the incident.
According to a report, a passenger jet had a close encounter with an unidentified flying object (UFO) while approaching Glasgow. Pilots of the Airbus A320 said they saw a blue and yellow object "loom ahead" as they began their final descent into the city.
The UK Airprox Board, which investigates near-miss incidents, was unable to determine what the crew had observed. The report states the plane was flying at 4,000 feet above Baillieston just before 1 pm when the incident occurred. The pilot and co-pilot spotted the object about 100 meters away, and it passed directly beneath the aircraft before they could take evasive action.
Though the pilots couldn't clearly identify the object, they described it as blue and yellow, or silver, with a small frontal area but larger than a balloon. The pilot estimated the distance between the plane and the object was around 300 feet, and assessed the risk of collision as high.
A local woman, Ellen Henry, captured photos of an unidentified flying object over Santee's Edgmoore Barn, but her camera stopped working after the encounter. Henry, who did not want to appear on camera because she was still unnerved by the experience, told 10News San Diego that she is convinced the object she saw hovering over the historic barn is not of this world. "I was like, what was it doing there? Why was it there? What was it doing?" she said, adding that she expects the barn will be "beamed up" the next time she visits.
The barn sits under several flight paths, but neither Gillespie Field nor MCAS Miramar could offer an explanation for the mysterious object. Some suggest such sightings are not uncommon around the Edgmoore Barn.
May 24, 2013 - Tauranga, New Zealand
A series of strange light sightings have been reported in the Tauranga Harbour area. One incident, captured on a weather camera, was remarked upon by television reporters and seen by thousands of early morning viewers. A local boatie, whom we'll call Horace, also reported seeing a series of mysterious lights in and around the harbour near the mouth of Hunters Creek late last week. Horace is an experienced and sober-minded local who spends a lot of time on the water.
On a recent calm night, Horace was traveling by small boat across the shallows between Omokoroa and Matakana Island when he noticed an unlit craft approaching from the east. The craft had an odd, white dome-shaped top and a tall central structure, and its size and shape seemed to change periodically, leading Horace to initially assume it was a kayak or paddleboard turning end-on. However, the size and distance made it difficult to assess in the fading light, and at times the hull appeared to disappear completely.
There was no sign of a vessel near the strange lights reported in the harbour, adding to the mystery. These recent sightings have left many locals and viewers intrigued and wondering about the nature of these unexplained phenomena.
On the night of Friday, December 12, a husband and wife in Highland County, Ohio reported seeing an unidentified creature run across the road near Carmel. According to the wife's statement to the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON), the incident occurred after they turned onto Carmel Road, which leads to their home. As they drove around a curve by the local church and up a small incline, the "alien" suddenly appeared around 10 feet ahead of their truck and darted across the road into the woods.
The wife described the unexpected creature as being about 7 feet tall, with no visible arms but muscular legs bent backwards, and no distinct jawline. She said her skeptical 60-year-old husband, a former Marine, was so shocked by what he saw that he agreed to draw a sketch of the being when they got home. The couple was left perplexed by this strange sighting.

December 18, 2010 - Dimona, Israel
The details remain sketchy at best, but based on the available information, it appears that the Israeli Air Force scrambled several fighter jets after a reported "unidentified" object was spotted in the sky near the Dimona Nuclear Power Plant. Once the jets reached the craft, they opened fire and shot it down. The big question now is, what exactly was the object? As of now, no one knows for sure, and no debris has been found from whatever the Israeli Air Force brought down.Predictably, the Israeli government is claiming the object may have been a "weather or party balloon." It's hard to believe that one of the world's most advanced air forces would mistake a common balloon for an unknown craft and open fire. August 4, 2013 - Lagan Khel, India
The Indian Army has reported sighting mysterious unidentified flying objects (UFOs) in the Ladakh sector along the Line of Actual Control with China. On August 4th, army troops stationed in the Lagan Khel area of Demchok, Ladakh, spotted a UFO in the evening and filed a report to army headquarters. This is just one of over 100 UFO sightings along the Line of Actual Control in recent months, though the August 4th incident marks a rare occurrence after a period of relative quiet.
When asked about these UFO reports in Parliament, the Defense Minister stated there is no conclusive proof of unidentified objects over the Sino-Indian border. However, a recent investigation by a top-level science research institute suggested the "UFOs" were actually the planets Jupiter and Venus, which are clearly visible from the high-altitude, thin-atmosphere terrain of Ladakh. The researchers concluded the army troops had mistaken these planets for unidentified flying objects.
August 8, 2013 - Greymouth, New Zealand
A West Coast man is "freaked out" after a reported close encounter with a UFO. According to mechanic Matthew Robert from Rutherglen, he was driving on Rutherglen Road near Greymouth around 8:45 pm when he came face-to-face with a car-shaped object parked on the road outside the entrance to Shantytown.
Robert claims three other cars were also confronted by the mysterious night-time visitor. When the object suddenly lifted into the sky in a blinding light, Robert and the other drivers fled the scene so quickly they left skid marks on the road.
"I was changing a CD when I looked up and saw what looked like a car without its lights on, stopped in the middle of the road," Robert said. "I slammed on my brakes, and before I could focus, the thing just lit up and shot into the sky. I noticed there were three other cars that had also stopped, so obviously those people saw the same thing I did. It's weird that no one else has come forward about it."
